yes, much more quiet
with the quiet exhaust its true stealth

I'm enjoying it, it does start to whine more as it hits full roar

Let's hope we can get this topic back on track. Honestly, I prefer driving the car around a track than drag racing it, but to each his own, this said I think it's been proven that Jan's parts can make a MINI much faster than it was first and that's something factual, given the number of ecstatic mini owners with his pieces. They can't all be biased, right?

Now, back on the TVS, Jan, we were discussing the matter on the italian forum and one of the questions I was asked was, how much mods would a TVS900 require to be mounted on a 1.6 Cooper S? I mean, i know it's early, but my guess is that to use it at it's best, the car should have big valve head, cams, header and catback, but what about intake manifold and airbox, I've seen you got a custom airbox for the 1320, do you expect it to be necessary for the 900 too? Of course, a tune would be critical once the TVS is in, but do you reckon there should be other mods done to the car to keep it reliable?

the only real mod it will require for sure is an electric water pump solution
other than that it will work on the stock parts but obviously not as effective as having a high flowing head/cam/exhaust

the custom airbox was needed as I needed a 3" inlet to feed the 1320

the expense to get a gear drive factory style piece made would be astronomical and still end up with the problems the MINI pump/chargers have

That's cool to hear it's quiet for at least one reason i can think of. It might help at some tracks like Laguna Seca where the dB limits are getting ever lower for track days.

Hopefully, i'll hear how the TVS sounds on my car one day

Sort of like the sound barrier once you get past it you don't care about certain things ie. the whine of the SC. FEELING THE POWER is better then hearing something that sounds fast but isn't so much.

The Rotrex is silent other then a crazy sucking sound (does that sound wrong?). Now when I here an M45 it sounds a little toyish. Sorry. I now have the full sound of a tuned exhaust .

NAM- "jan, are we there yet? please!!!!"
Jan- "we will get there when we get there. now don't make me stop this mini and come back there kids"
lol, im ready to see a vid, but if it aint ready yet, i can respect that just as long as you show us a full video when it is done
oh, also, i was just wondering if we could get a more comprehensive exhaust clip, and also do you have a similar exhaust system for the 1.6, or do you just have a powerful quiet exhaust for the stroker to date?
