Thats funny!! If a turbo is the way to go to be fast in the 1/4, then why do all off the big boys (John Force) use superchargers?

At the moment you could only compare turbo v blown in the Pro Mod ranks, and Moran has just gone 245 i think the blower cars are in the 230s

Not the best quality but you get the idea

I said big boys. It also comes down to how much you want to spend. You can make big horse power with a turbo. MY brother is making well over 700 hp 0n a 408 stoker single big turbo(dont recall the specs on the turbo).Tunning that beast has been a pain in the you know what for him.

with money anything is possible. But, with using your money wisely greater power can be achieved.

And when i find him ask him the differences between driving blind and driving with sight? haha

Any update ?

Oh and Paul, when are "you" going to spend some cash and develop something, anything for the Mini. As the self proclaimed top Mini ???? in the UK I would have thought you would have come up with something by now.

Longboard

Hey Paul
Did you answer Longoard yet. Who does your tuning and what do you use? I'm still waiting for that answer from the 1/4 mile thread.

I'm still waiting for you lot to come up with something that can beat me
When you do I'll move to the next step

At the moment 12s @ 112 with a stock head is good enough to hand you your asses

We have stuff we have developed but I like to make sure I test it before I say anything, also dont forget where those $200 cams came / come from, also where did the shorty header idea come from?

So the best selling products / idea came via me in the UK, I hasten to add that the shorty header Jan said it wouldn't sell even though he had orders for 30 before he had even finished the first one.

I wonder what the ratio between race and shorty are in sales

Also where do you think the latest RMW cat back idea come from, yes the one that makes power.

How many Rotrex kits has Jan sold ? How much does that kit owe you and Jan ?

So in theory I have loads of ideas but the UK market really doesn't warranty it, but now the £ has dropped like a stone, looks like we might be able to ship stuff direct to the states.

My apologies to Longboard for not answering his question and to you newbs49 for the un-exciting answer;

Chris does the tuning and he uses Dimsport.

Webster why are you such a tool about this.
I think that Its a poor excuse that you havent developed anything more than what you have because no ones faster
Thats like saying you wont try new things with your wife cause shes not complaining now.
Personaly i would love to see what you and your chaps are able to do.
However for the drag car i tend to agree.
I also think that the TVS project is an extension of what you wont do..
thats push the limits.
I mean anyone with half a brain knows the car is kinda pointless
300 hp in a mini? why so you can really melt tires. oh thats cool. sure.
So as they say in those cheezy cheer movies
Bring it.
Also try answering questions before you get labled as the next NitroMinis

You're right it is a poor excuse, but I tried for a whole year to get Isellem record off him, in the end I only got the ET.

We then had a couple of customers who then were able to get the mph record of Isellem.

The TVS market at present is a ltd market to those with 2.0 engines, I'm sure all those guys are really excited at Jan's development and cant wait for the final results.

How ever long it takes it'll be worth waiting for, look how long Longboards took till they found the right ingredints, I'm sure the TVS will be a lot quicker to get to the end product though.

I've been thrashing my Mini all year with a stock head to see if we can break it and using it every day. Because thats where the main market place is, we've managed a best of 13.68 @103.8 with a stock dirty S air filter and on cheap track tires Parada II 195/50-15.

Even though the other day I wondered if I had acheived anything this year I realised we had.

I like to try and acheive as much as I can for as little outlay as I can, bang for the buck.

The two best phrases I've found on racers forums;

Its not how much you spend, but how well you spend it.

dont hate the player, hate the game.

Okay so clean the filter and get better tires then post a time. I don't understand why everyone thinks its cool to post up a time and then say everything that was wrong with the car. Just do it right the first time so we know what it can really do...

Yup Jan's right, the stock dirty filter is with reference that the OEM S stuff is good enough for 250bhp, but if you like noise get a WAI

The TVS will be just awesome for the Mini. New Mustang owners are just now finding out how good these blowers really are.

It will truly be the next step for those of us who roadrace and want big power and reliability along with instant response
