, a very good head/cam combo and maybe intake manifold if I can find one better than the stock is all what I'll be able to fit on my car...
I've seen pics of a Cooper with ITBS some time ago, if only I could find it again...but I think it was here on NAM somewhere...
Anyway, ITBS would be lots of fun for us Cooper owners
If only laws here in Italy weren't so strict about car mods...
ITBS are bound to be VERY noticeable

it was the HPA car, and it requires a lot of work, standalone, removing the drive by wire exc. pretty expensive project for most cooper owners. Something I would love to invest in if they put down the numbers

sorry for thread jacking jan

Ill give a ride in the e60 M5 in exchange! Maybe software from RPI will be thrown in before if elected to... Faster than an F430 from a pull...
haha, ill take a ride in that. ill give you a ride in my cooper! 17.0 1/4 ftwww
pulls faster than a pinto
Hi Jan,
Just a simple question,
If I am correct in this set up you expect to see over 16-18psi pressures,
do you thing that with the stock ecu you will be able to make
the proper corrections? I say this because a lot of reflashers doesnt
disassmble all the ecu maps and the limp mode -fuel cuts is just too close

e.g. in our setup that we were working on twincharged we had
to use a piggy back to correct everything and make it work ( no problems
even with 28psi)
In this case will you use the standalone ECU that you work on?

After seeing this setup I can't see a reason to have a turbo for road racing as the power is just everywhere. Even up top it just pulls like a freight train.
im still drooling JAN... I may be bringing a guy to you with a mini cooper s (and Ford GT aka gt40) to get a tune... I guarantee he will buy all your stuff! Just wait til winter i may go with the cam then...
I would love a ride in your M5. I have a strong passion for BMW's. I mite be at cars and coffee this sat?
Longboard
Damn... Im still in hawaii! In december I will be back and may organize a meet or have RPI do a meet and we can meet up there! Ive been to cars and coffee before, lot of BMW's huh... Its actually my dad's e60 m5, but he will be glad to swap a taste of your car for a taste of his...
Hahaha... you are right... it is because I am going to school at university of Hawaii and STILL trying walk onto the bball team... The coach wont even let me tryout, I know I can play with them as I did in the summer... im just ranting but yeah.. haha
Ah, but I hear that guy wants to keep his MINI as a daily driver.

Nope... I know what this guy wants, He wants power with reliability... a balance between both...JAN, What should I tell this guy to get?

Anything RMW with the proper tune is going to be reliable. I am at 250whp with a RMW head, and shorty headers. My car just today saw 7500rpm's at least 4 times. Playing with an EVO on the fwy well over 120+mph for a while. No problems at all so far.

There is not much you can do becides taking the seats out. Everything else makes the car feel junky in my opinion. Just save up for parts. Once you have a bid more power, weight does not matter that much. Hey 215whp is a great number to start with.

I have been driving it on the stock ECU , it needs a volt clamp but I will be putting a plug-n-play stand alone that we have been working on it in the next few weeks. It's already made ridiculous power on the stock ecu.

So I guessed right

I believe a comparison between s/c and T only cars is useless.
Imho in similar intake pressures always the T only cars will have
an advantage of 40-60hp. Also better fuel economy

But if some day Eaton releases TVS roots for the M45 then
it will be a nice and easy buff but not to be compared
with the car you made with the stroker.
