Some how I don't think Jan would ever do that to his GP. Value way to high.
Plus their collector items down the road. Well we hope so.

What about a R53 vs R53 runoff???? Maybe the TVS beta kit will be in use by then along with a LSD!

I am so addicted to modding my MINI, it will cost me about a weeks worth of my annuity check, and keep me grinning like a b-tard from ear to ear for all the MINI miles in the future

Or maybe; It's just a 1.21 Jiggawat "Flux Capacitor" ??????

Any chance you will be getting to the New England Area for a tune ?

Get the oil cooler done. Me want one bad.
And yes. I know. Get the damn coilovers in.

mbcoops. get your plan in order- Way's ducts are very nice from the guys I know who have them. Thicker rotors are also the ticket.
Will do - I'm eyeing the DT kit you have and the TSW offering. Turns out I can't get a 1 in. rotor in my calipers. An oil cooler would be nice, too, especially since I'm seeing temps upwards of 275 F on track.

I have to remind myself to take this stuff slowly and commensurately with my driving ability.

I like what I'm hearing about a track shootout. I'd like it more if it were on a neutral track - one that niether participant knows intimately. I'd like it most if it were an R53 v. R53 ordeal. Nothing against the R56, I'm just not ready to admit it's the better track toy quite yet.

I don't know what more do you want... they had a race car driven by a pro... if he can't beat a guy with 5 track days and air conditioning I'm not sure what a neutral track will bring if I bring a pro driver to combat theirs........

LOL

btw... we have an oil cooler coming soon

As I was skimming above I thought there was a challenge laid down - I must have read wrong. I don't want anything except entertainment, which I think a track challenge among agreeable Mini tuners would provide.

Here's an epiphany - pick a track, buy my plane tix, give me both (or more) cars, and the best times = the best car. The only bruised ego would be mine because of my mediocre driving skills.

I guess at some point all of this track talk would go the way of the dyno talk: prove it, prove it prove it, then prove it again. Ironic.

You won't be getting behind the wheel of my car
So do I get to bring the race car or the street car to the event?

Shocker. The sarcasm there wasn't supposed to hide the more valid suggestion of perhaps the same pro driver (on nobody's payroll) to drive the cars. You know, sort of like The Stig.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that no event will happen, but maybe I'm just a cynic. So which car you'd bring doesn't really matter. It's fun to think about, though. The gentleman from Mini Madness brings up a valid point - it's high time RMW get invited to a tuner shootout of sorts.

Yes, and the race tires, too. I've had more than one tech inspector comment on my cup holder. It's not always nice, either. I resent it because I find the cup holder ugly but useful.
