Daytime running lights and locking

I just got a 2013 Countryman S and I cannot figure out how to enable the daytime running lights. They are enabled in the computer for the key I am using, but they refuse to turn on either the headlamp or the fogs. I have Carista for coding either, but nothing seems to work. This might be a dumb question, but do all Countryman have daytime running lights? (Im in the USA, so its a North American model)

Also the owners manual says you should be able to enable an acoustic audible sound along with flashing the lights when locking the door. When I go through the computer to check those settings I only see the option for flashing the lights only on door lock, no option for acoustic sound.

Thanks for the help!

Finally got the daytime running lights (DRLs) to work, but only with low beams, so maybe Carista can enable other lights (fogs, etc) for DRLs for some model Minis, but my car wont enable DRLs for anything but low beams.
Curious if anyone else has messed around with this.

Also would still like to know of others get a chirp audio notification when locking the doors?

Why would you want DRLs & low beams on at the same time?

I dont and I must have explained this poorly. My car is only using the low beams as the DRLs. There doesnt seem to be any designate DRL bulb that I know of on my Countryman?

What lights on the Mini Countryman are supposed to be used for the DRLs if not the low beams? If I could disable low beams and only run the fog lights as DRL's that would be my preference. Carista has coding for the Mini to do this, but when I enable fogs as DRLs and save it the fogs still do not work as DRLs.

Canadian cars use the small driving lamps (or fog lamps if you prefer) as the DRL's.

In the USA, I believe the headlights till 2015, then in 2015+, then they coded for the updated the lower lights to DRL halos as factory. I met the product manager at the time for MINI at a dealer launch party and we talked about this for the Countryman/Paceman

@ECSTuning Thank for the reply and info! I see ECSTuning sells the OEM Mini halo fog lights and I was wondering if they would work on my 2013 Countryman S as easy as plug and play?

Also to anyone searching this forum in the future about locking doors and sound chirp notifications, this option is only available for Minis equipped with factory alarm option, and mine does not have the alarm so no chirp on door locking.

I have a 14, not entirely sure the foglights are the exact same. Mine are split between 2 bulbs. The upper half of the fog light is my daytime running light 2825 bulb if I remember right. the bottom half is the fog lamp and I believe they are H8's.

I dont know if they will work. Here are the part numbers. My guess is it can be flashed with an NCS expert or if someone know the codding for the updated 2015+ DRL in fog parking light set up.

Plug is a three prong. So it looks like it will not work as an upgrade without doing some rewiring.

Looks to be just a position light and drl light on the bottom. Cant tell is the bottom bulb is led, looks like its not.

My 2016 uses like half (Like a semicircle) of the LED fog light for DRL, then when you turn on fogs it turns on the rest.

Yep thats the Genuine MINI Factory DRL upgrade kit that does that when its DRL, and then in position light ( one click on the stalk its the half circle), fog light the full thing and light itself.
