Amen. My car has been "In the Body Shop" since July 30th. Here's hoping that our estimated completion dates don't get pushed back - I'm with you, I want on that boat!!

Hey! I'm from PW29 and all of the different PW's have been thru what you're going thru. In my case according to my MA, mine should be here (midwest) in the next few days. I've been able to track it step by step using what others have figured out and posted . READ THE STICKY AT THE BEGINNING OF 1ST GEAR. You can track your MINI from factory to US dock. From there, your MA can get the best info. Also read the other PW support group threads and MOTORINGFILE.com which gives you daily scoop news about MINI.
Yeah, you got caught by the shutdown but that's nearly over. Motoringfile told us about it well before it happened so I was able to get my order in in time to avoid it.I won't tell you...just be patient, blah blah blah. You can't. So you have to occupy your time with reading, tracking, posting, calling reading, posting ect, ect. It will end in 4,5 or 6 weeks but when it ends, you'll be grinning, shifting, turning, shifting, grin grin grin.

I called ASK-MINI at around 3:30 this afternoon and got the same old info - car was in production as of 7/30, in the body shop, and would be completed on 8/15. However, this time I decided to do some digging - I asked about the "shut down" and was told that the factory was, indeed, shut down all this week and last. The guy I talked to (I forget his name) said that so far my car was still slotted to be completed 8/15, but due to the shutdown, this information may not be accurate and I may get pushed back a week! But if the 8/15 est. completion date stands, which he says as of now, it does, it looks like my MINI may be one of the first completed when the factory reopens! (Which, by the way, he said was officially going to be Monday, 8/14, and that I should call back then to get updated, accurate information).

I hope this helps a little!

Thanks for the info Katherine, i think i will call tomorrow and see what they have to say about mine. I have not called in about a week and a half, so maybe they have some new info to tell me. But it doesnt sound like it, atleast not if the factory has been shut down for the past two weeks.

Hopefully as soon as the factory opens back up, they will pop out our little mini's and get them moving over to this side of the world.

Sounds good. Maybe if we all push a bit to see what we can find out, together we can piece together a coherent story!

Here's hoping the MINIs speed on through

That's great info. I called yesterday and they told me that mine was still in production and yes the factory is shut down until next week. He also told me my production date could change. When he told me that I got a bit miffed and he said that he wasn't really sure. He also said once everything is working it would only take 3-4 days to finish. I dunno.

I wish I could wave a wand:

And there Stella would be!

I suppose until then we'll have to keep checking in It sounds like so far we're all getting the same story, so that's a plus.

I know...sort of frustrating.

Congrats, mini_this, and welcome to the lovely (if not neurotic/obsessive) week 33!

(By the way, Hyper Blue is awesome!)

I'm just another person trying to pratice patience. I can empathize with you all. My "ask-mini" response still says my estimated completion date is still July 31st, but we've been in the "paint shop" for about 2 weeks.

When I get a live person, there only response thus far has been that the completion date is only an estimate, I am just surprised it is not being adjusted to give me a sense of reality.

Thanks for all the posts, it helps me cope

Ouch! Looks like you got caught on the other end... your completion date was right when the plant shutdown! At least that means it is probably mostly done, so when they re-open Monday, I bet you will be one of the first out... or you will be grouped with all of us

My automated response hasn't ever to changed to a completion date, so I'm thinking that I might get pushed back to Week 34. It still says that I have no scheduled production date. BUT the last two times I talked to a human, they told me that it would be finished by August 17th.

I have experienced the same. We are still in "On Order" status although our MA said we had a Week 31 requested production date. Then we were told Week 33 and now possibly Week 34. Doesn't anyone know what is going on???

I think everyone can call ASK-MINI this week and hopefully they will know more (they should). The factory has been shut down (at least partially) and I think Monday is the magic day when all will be revealed.

Hello fellow Week 33ers!

I just called ASK MINI (as soon as their phone lines opened, haha!) and I got some good news - Stella entered the paint shop! Ron, the very nice guy who helped me, said that after they enter the paint shop things go along very quickly and they go right into assembly and it's pretty much a snap. He said that as of now, my production date hadn't changed - that it was still August 15 (tomorrow!) - so maybe that means that things really haven't stalled and we're all on schedule! Here's hoping

Yes, ive heard once the actul car hits the body shop and starts production, things move very quickly. I heard its only a few days and the car is fully built. Then its off to the port to wait on the love boat.

Im gonna try to call sometime today and see if i can get any word on my mini, wish me luck!

I'm so frustrated. My car started production on July 26th and I just called ASK-MINI. It still hasn't moved to the body shop but they still say it will be ready on Aug. 17th. I don't think that is possible. The woman told me that "in production" doesn't really mean that they have stared to build it. What's the difference between "scheduled for production" and "in production" then?

My car was "in production" as of the week of July 24th but didn't actually enter the body shop until July 30th. I'm not really sure how the whole process works. I'm not sure how my car will be ready by tomorrow either if it just entered the paint shop today - they have to do some awfully quick assembly. But who knows - I think I'll call back tomorrow just to check.

I’m with MINI USA. I'm so sorry for this confusion, and I'm here to post a little official clarification. Plant Oxford is scheduled for a 2 week close (production weeks 31 and 32 – July 31st to August 13th), but we will be up and operational as usual after that. If you need our assistance, please give us a call at (866) ASK MINI or email us at MINI.Assistance@askMINIUSA.COM . Mention Reference #200622600981 so that we can help you more efficiently.

week 33 no longer

Bad news. I originally received a production date of 8/18, so I was catching the tail end of week 33. I've been checking in on the forum now and again. With y'all's discussion of the shutdown, I became a bit skeptical of the scheduling. Well, I called Ask Mini just now and found that completion has been bumped to 8/31.

Hope y'all that were a few days further along in production don't hit this snag as well.
