Back on LAND!

Awesome posts everybody.... sorry to be out of the loop for awhile...

I have been out on Lake Superior for 5 days and have NOT been able to check on my status
(believe me, I tried!) Now I'm home, still rocking back and forth as I sit typing, reading your posts before going
to the WW site to check my VIN, etc.

Last I knew, my MINI was sitting on the dock waiting for ship.
I forget- was that yesterday? I've been through some hellfire storms
and time is sort of screwed up- when you see your life flash before your eyes, you know?

I'm hoping MINI is on one of the same ships, I'm loving the pics of the actual crossing!

Afficianado, we are pretty much neighbors. Has to be a south of the river thing I guess.

I have already bought two wheels (holies) from ebay,
looking to get the other two and get a set of snows ready for winter.
So I'll be lurking around the marketplace for ONLY TWO HOLIES.... strange!
Also have two small models of MINI sitting on the bookcase, my wife
actually hand painted a little green one so it looked like the CR/W one we ordered!

Be in touch, must now get to the WW ship site, still rocking....

Check the date. The position dates to June 6th. Looks like they haven't updated the coordinates since then. Hopefully there will be an update on the site soon

I am sure you are out to sea and closer to the US than the Liberty currently is.

ok, so I took a look at the World Shipping Registry and cross referenced the MANON ship Call Sign. 'SIWN' Performed a seached on WW ship tracking and got the same plot point as the June 6, 2006 (search by voyage#). So, my guess is they have not updated the website and ship locations. I hope they update this soon!

That is crazy to me that we live so close! I'm glad I'll have a fellow NAMer close by! There was actually a CR/B MCS parked in my driveway on Saturday...my friends boyfriend came over to watch the World Cup and he happens to drive a CR/B MCS (2004).

You're one step ahead of me on the Holies...I actually tried to order my MCS with holies, but they wouldn't give me any price break so I just stuck w/ the R84's! I'll be on the look out for Holies eventually.

Haven't been able to confirm any ship info from WW with my VIN#, so it looks like my MINI
probably did not get on the MANON. Next up was the LIBERTY, left Southampton on June 18.
I can hope that it might have made that one!

Otherwise, the next WW ship leaving is June 23, the INTEGRITY.

Bon Voyage to your little cars!

Sir Mini -

Not sure that MINI still uses them, but my guy came over on a K-Line ship last year. When I went through that process, it was much less rewarding because their site didn't have any more information than "booked". My MA was able to get me the ship's name and then I was able to sometimes track it on shipwx.

If your new baby is complete, I'd call your MA and see if they know anything, although WW says that my husband's was loaded onto the Liberty, the email we got from our MA last night said that he'd have to check on shipping since the car had not left Oxford yet. Hopefully we'll get a definitive answer today. My panic now is that the Charleston SC 30-day schedule didn't include the Liberty this weekend...I know they've updated that since, but haven't had time to look, maybe it's there now. Apparently several of the WW ships were recently renamed, we had a heck of a time finding a picture of the Liberty until my husband discovered that just a few months ago it was sailing under the name Faust.

ok ship tracking is 14 days out of date as per the site.

however the schedule does list Manon (june 17 departure) and Liberty (june 18 departure) under way on the high seas.

Both are due to arrive in NY on June 26th

I just talked to Customer Relation and he said that my Mini is now on the port. I asked if he knows which ship it's going and he said that their tracking system can only track up to when it reach the port. Is that true? Don't get me wrong, he was very friendly, I just find that kinda odd. I tried going to the http://schedule.2wglobal.com site to see if I can track but nothing using the VIN. What to do?

Checker,

I got a similar answer:

My ASK-MINI person yesterday told me they can only track to the dock...
then it's considered sold to the dealer, and I would have to get further updates from them (or obviously the shipping line).

I'm going to call my local dealer now, see if I can get an update.

Are we both going to have to wait for another ship? MANON left without us!

And thanks, Lou777, I'll try to see if the K-line is carrying my MINI!

Sir Mini,

Yes, it looks like we will end up on the same ship. And it looks like we're coming in last among this group. Oh well, just hope they board them soon. Keep us posted on what you find out. Thanks.

For all of you like myself that weren't getting any info from the WW site or being told that our cars were at the port awaiting transportation there is some GOOD news! Several cars are infact on the K-Line ship that departed last weekend and is due on Charleston on the 28th.I was able to track this down and confirm my car was on the ship. I did get the last three numbers of another car which was 697, so if thats yours, glad you made it onboard. I did get a BOL for the shipment and you might be able to get some verification. I was fortunate to reach someone who was willing to assist me. KKLUHAM105180. Hope this might reduce the stress of waiting and everyone gets their cars soon! EMDEN is the ship!

I've been out of town since last Friday and the WW site has nothing on my VIN

Maybe I'm on the K-Line...

okchili, we passed through Guthrie on the way to Watonga and on the way back. 2000 miles later and I know little more than I did when I left. I thought the trip would be a diversion but it instead only made it worse.

Not mine either, Chopper.

My last 3 digits are 702!

So maybe Schreyer, Checker, and myself are either on the K-line, or waiting for the Integrity?

Keep an eye on the horizon, mateys!

Did you call the ASK-MINI and talk to a rep or something? I've been wondering about mine because it completed June 10th and now it is June 20, but ASK-MINI and the tracking website still do not show any updates. They both still say that it is at a port awaiting a shipping vessel.

I thought I heard some hollering last weekend. Must have been you all waving as you drove through

Too bad your family couldn't spend some time in Guthrie. It has a lot of of cool antique stores. Glad you had a safe trip and hope the wedding went well.

Wedding went fine. It was pretty much an in and out kind of trip so we didn't get to spend much time with my wife's family. We did get to do some 4x4'ing on his 1000 acres while looking for groups of the 100 paints and quarterhorses my brother in law has.

I didn't see any Mini's on my two trips through Guthrie. I saw very few foreign cars in general so my guess is you'll be getting a pretty unique ride in those parts.

I just wish I had a broken in Mini I could have made the trip in. Ah...maybe next year.

Mine too. I'm hoping that we're on the K-Line vessel Emden. http://www.kline.com/PCC-RoRo/schedu...ticshuttle.asp

It left Southampton on the 16th and it's due in Charleston SC on the 28th. I can't imagine why we would have been skipped over. I've got an email into my MA and I hope he has more to tell me tomorrow.

OKChili,

You may be with Schreyer, Checker, Chopper, and me, maybe on the K-Line EMDEN or later on the WW Integrity...

For those who want to track, here's a link to the EMDEN's exact location at sea....

http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shi...tml?call=3ERP5

That is all...
