Called ASKMINI today and found out that my mini is in production with the completion date of June 12. I guess I'm in this support group. Been waiting for a week and a half for the status to change and finally it did. Wow, I didn't realize how hard it is to wait, and I'm sure there's more waiting to come :-) Glad I'm not alone.

 

I just checked for the first time today also and found out my RG/S has a prod. date of the 17th! It was maddenening looking at Owner's Lounge everyday and seeing no progress!

Update: I just checked in the OL and the "Review Order Details" box actually works!! I wonder if this is due to me inquiring earlier or if they miraculously fixed the code. It seems like this feature has been non-functional for a while now, it's nice that its back.

 

Cool, it looks like they did fixed the problem in the Owner's Lounge about the Order Detail Review. I checked it this morning and it wasn't showing anything but now it works. Nice to see that the configuration that I want is what has been ordered in production :-)

 

My motoring advisor said that a Birth Certificate is mailed out once the car comes out of the birth canal...

A gimmick to hold you over while the car is being delivered... but it keeps one hoping

 

Nice. And to think it was just today I did the 'view source' thing to get my VIN...probably minutes before they got it working again.

 

Where do you see that your Mini is in the paint shop? ASKMINI or OL? Thanks.

Yes, I did that and got my completion date of June 12 from the automated system. Did you guys actually talk to a live person to get that detail? Thanks.

 

I didn't. For days the automated system just said "Scheduled for Production. Estimated Completion Data of June 12, 2006". But today, it changed to saying that it was in the paint shop with an estimated completion date of June 10th, 2006.

 

I see, I guess I'll check again tomorrow :-) This is really becoming to be an obsession, hehehe.

 

Anybody thinking of personalizing their license plate for their soon to be conceived mini? :-)

 

I just called 866-ASK-MINI and it says that my MINI is scheduled from completion June 12th. I still don't have a VIN # yet. I wonder when I will get that????

That's great, we're pretty much in the same stage right now. I hope they update the Owner's Lounge soon cause it is still showing as On Order there. I think that's probably where we will the VIN as well.

 

They fixed the Flash Component now so if you click on the last item below "On Order" (Review Order Detail) you should (in time) see the details of your order including your VIN once it's assigned.

 

so far no VIN number but I think I should get soon since it is expected to complete on Monday.

 

My OL status recently changed to Scheduled For Production. I now have a VIN, woohoo

 

I just clicked on "Review Order Detail" and I now have my VIN # and it is schedule to complete Monday. So I would keep checking back.

 

Is your going to the East Coast or West Coast?

Central. I live in Oklahoma. I just got an email from my dealer that my MINI was born today at 11:45 GMT!!!! Yea! So I guess now I wait to see when it will ship.

Hopefully you will hear something about yours soon.

 

I called 866-ASK-MINI and my production date was bumped up from 6/14 to 6/12. I think they said "completion date" but maybe "production date". I'm feelin' Hyper and Blue! Currently driving a '92 accord -- about time for a new car. West coast -- Long Beach Mini.

 

Congratulation! Now, a new set of waiting for shipping, hehehe. You're one step closer in getting united with your mini. Monday is suppose to be the day for my mini, I'll be happy if that holds true :-)

It's now the 11th so I hope ASK-MINI is just behind on letting me know it was born.
