Have you plugged your VIN into the auto tracking at WW? http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do

Oh...nope. WW gives me nothing. I'm thinking it won't until they actually take possession of the car when it's assigned to and loaded onto a boat.

fingers crossed! I am still hoping for the first or second week of july.
Well, it appears that Acitydweller has scored the touchdown on being the first in the group to get a ship berth assigned!
For my own selfish perspective, Acitydweller's Cooper appears to be about two days ahead of our MCS, which suggests that a berth assignment may be just around the corner for us as well.
(I called this morning and we are completed and on the way to the port. Bought a batch of Almond Joys to hand out to all those folks who are unfortunate eough to cross my path in the next few days. Yes, it does appear to be a masculine MCS. Yes, I am aware that the lore is that Coopers should be appropriately named based on known character and gender--and that this may be a little early in the ballgame to have insights into same. Name on tag will be "Ode2Joy," arising from the absolute expectation that this car will be a joy to drive. The poem and Ludwig's musical rendition in the 4th movement of his 9th Symphony is also played upon here--lyrical poem and all that. Plan to call the car "Odie," taking advantage of poetic license with "ode" and with my first name. Also am reminded of Odie of Garfield fame: friendly to a fault, doesn't seem too imposing, but is really quite sharp when challenged--and there is the other dog thing--as in "to run with the big dogs," which the MCS is (deceptively) capable of.
"Isn't that a cute little car! (Lady, if you only knew . . . ! ) There, just don't get me started about this car, I was serious when I referred to "folks who are unfortunate enough to cross my path." Great fun though, isn't it? Passion is such . . . an invigorating force.
)
Acitydweller's berth assignment also answers (maybe
) a big question: Will Production Week 24 Coopers be on the ships that are slated for departure on 16 or 17JUN, or are we more likely to be on board the following week because there is (unknown to us) a backlog of Coopers setting at the dock already?
But another question arises: Why hasn't Schreyerplace received a berth? It appears that Schreyerplace and Acitydweller have been very close to each other up to this point in the process.
From what I've been able to garner from other "production week" groups, you really don't know that you are on a boat until after it has set sail. The berth assignment is definitely something positive--and I am anxiously awaiting ours--but I've read about more than one Cooper that was either left sitting on the docks for next week's ship; or, come to find out, actually departed on an earlier ship, despite the "known" berth.
Seems to be an area where feedback is hazy . . . .
Also, where is everybody else? Think we have about 15 in this group now.
Doesn't EVERYONE call on prduction status twice a day and check this thread to report in and see what's going on with the rest of the gang?
(Miniaficianado, for example, should be right in there with the leaders of the pack in getting onboard . . . .)
Schreyerplace asked recently, "Anybody know which comes first, tracking info at WW's site (by VIN) or loading onto a ship? Does WW enter tracking info once they know what ship it's on but potentially before the ship is even in port or do they wait until the car is loaded and the act of loaded causes the VIN to become trackable at WW's site?"
I have yet to find anything that unravels ths mistery! Nor have I been able to figure out how to track K-Line cargo.
To change subjectos only slightly, have you guys researched the vast differences in the '06 and '02 Coopers? I expected, based on past experience, that BMW would be constantly improving the car and that the best year to buy it would be the end of production--which means '06 for this engine. I have now looked into the reality of this a good bit. Bottom line appears to be that it's almost like the '02 and the '06 are different cars. I have a laundry list of fairly obvious improvements and there are undoubtedly a stack of 'em that are kinda hidden. We are a very fortunate group . . . .

Checker, hang in there. Production reports are not always up to date . . . .
Acitydweller, you can check the WW website (see my post #11 to this thread, first site reference) and obtain shipping info--when there is some available!

At port
Well, I've been calling ASK-MINI about twice a day and I have been at port awaiting a vessel for about 3 days now. I've also been putting in my VIN # a few times a day and still NOTHING! I so hope that I am able to get on the next ship out. I can feel my MINI calling me to get her and there is nothing I can do

Well, I finally have a birth date! June 13, 2006
I was told that my car is in route to the docks to await transport. Once the car is on board, the trip takes 9 days to reach the East Coast. I've looked up my VIN through the tracking website and got the booking #, vessel name, and voyage #. I hope this can be taken as positive news.
Attached is a screen shot of my tracking info.
Now I'm getting excited!!!

The Mini rep did say that I may not be on the boat out this week. Cars have been known to wait a few days before boarding. Good news is, ships go out every two days. So if not tomorrow, very soon!!!

Nice toy, not much smaller than the really one, hehehe. Will the baby mini follow the color of the your real mini?
I ordered my "CH3CK3R" license plate the day I ordered my mini. Can't wait to put in on him
The 33 on the license plate is a tribute to Larry Bird, just like my mini, Larry is a silent assassin, hehehe.

I think you're ahead by just a little. Mine won't get complete until Saturday. All I wish is my baby will be accompanied by someone he knew from this group, so that he won't be lonely and nervous on his long travel to a foreign country he will soon call home
