I got the LSD, but that was about it for the frills department...

No LSD or JCW for me.

My already stressed MCS budget went into the Premium, Sport, and Cold Weather packages along with the Panther Black Leather sport seats.

as I, my budget was stretched to cover the premium, sport and cold weather package. we opted to get nav and the seven interior pieces...

yeah , my budget only went so far as premium, sport, cold weather, and chrome interior... as much as i like the idea of the JCW (and aero kit, for that matter), i couldnt justify paying the extra $$

possible great news from WW site for everybody whose MINI is still out there "awaiting transport" like mine (and headed to NY/SC):

lots of eager little MINIs are boarding the Integrity this morning... I can only hope mine doesnt get distracted easily and keeps his spot in line

Edit: Sweet! Mine's on board. Any shipmates out there?
(Go to WW site, search booking number GBSOU431066 and see if your MINI's VIN is on the list. Try "printer friendly version" to see more at a time)

Darn, there's seem to be problem with Cargo Tracking section of the WW site, it's not coming up. I was gonna check if I'm in this booking number. Did anybody has a copy of the list. The last 5 number of my VIN is 24804. Thanks in advance.

Maybe we're overloading it's system with hits!

Crazy? Why would you think I am going crazy waiting for my MINI ????

No, I am very calm and spend my time making little MINI models for my desk. Here's one for you, too!

Just print, cut out, fold and enjoy---while you wait for your MINI. (Oh the waiting! Will it never end!)

Have LSD (also added DSC). No JCW. Will go Dinan if I want more juice or suspension changes. MINI of Nashville has Dinan man there, Jay Lillie, and I really like him--and Dinan--from BMW-related exposure (Dinan is tops in the US for BMWs.).

JCW certainly appears to hold the modifier heavyweight belt for Mini's though! It's easy to see the appeal of the JCW pkg.

My initlal take based on the one hour drive in a MCS w/o LSD and with sport pkg (17" wheels) was that there was a lot of juice in the box already--although better air intake, freeflow exaust, and pully reduction are all possible in the future. I believe, based on some research, that the 17" wheels/tires weigh more than the 16" wheels/tires that come standard on the S. Less unsprung weight + LSD was my shot for improved performance on the inital car (I also like the look of the standard wheels). Don't think that better brakes--beyond putting on steel brake hoses for a firmer pedal--are needed, even with more power. With corner braking control, I'm not sure if I want to mess with sway bars, etc. And the suspension in general appears to be very well tuned. Bottom line is that my initial take on our $25K MCS is that it is already an outstanding performer--a lot of bang for the buck--without getting into performance mods. I'll need to live with it for awhile before knowing enough to make good decisions on mods. I plan to get right to work getting to know this little car very well very quickly (read that "drive, drive, drive"!).

I just got an email from my MA! He said that my MINI left on the 16th and is expected to get to the US at the end of the month and then to the dealer in Dallas by the 2nd week in July!

I guess the WW site just isn't going to work for me. He didn't say what boat it is on though. I'm getting more excited! These next 3 weeks will be too long!

That's really great news for you! Man I hope I'm on that same ship since mine was at the port by the 10th or the 11th.

Thanks Pezmaster,

I scanned the entire list of MINIs in the booking list, and sad to say mine's not with your crew. What a great wealth of info that is, though... lots of MINIs coming this way!

I guess that leaves the K-line EMDEN for sure (?)

Well, have a merry voyage!
