Production Week 24 (June 12, 2006) Support Group
Just heard from ASK-MINI that my estimated completion date is June 12th, 2006. I didn't see a group started yet so jump on if you're here with me.
I'm not quite sure on this...I tried to make a couple of changes to my order today (add piano black dash and anthracite headliner) but my MA said it was too late because it was scheduled for week 24 production. But I called askMINI and it still says there is not a set completion date...
On order:
2006 DS/B MCS
Premium Pkg
Cold Weather Pkg
LSD
Xenon's

Update
[SIZE=2]I just called askMINI today and my production/completion date changed from June 14th to June 13th! I guess I can't complain about that. I decided to try to guess when I will take delivery and so far my timeline goes something like this:
Production date: 6/13
Vessel ETD: 6/17
Vessel ETA: 6/29
VDC ETD: 7/6
Dealer ETA: 7/11
Pick-up: 7/13
We will see what happens! Anyone else in Week 24?? Any guesses?

Anxiously waiting
I think this is the right group for us. I talked with our Mini advisor on June 1st and he said it was too late to make a change because our car was already in production
He told us to expect our Mini in August, but late July would be great!!
I am excited to find this forum.
Take care,
Maryanne

Hi to all,
Guess we're aboard with this group as well. Completion (birthday) scheduled for 15JUN06.
A few days ago I would have thought that a "support group" for the production/delivery of a car was a little . . . s-t-r-a-n-g-e. But, that was before I was smitten by the little beast. Appears that I have a new drug of choice. (Its predecessor was a 1990 BMW 325iS that I dearly loved--a great, fun car. Met with an untimely demise on 19MAY06 along with its assailant, a very large deer.
Sets a pretty tall bar for a successor.)
Clearly here I am finally admitting to all that I am indeed obsessive and have once again demonstrated that I have an addictive personality. But I seem to have plenty of company.
It has been rare in the last several years when I did not experience the thrill of driving my 325iS for more than a couple of days. I am experiencing the most severe withdrawls: 19 days and counting. (Driving a 99 Ford F-150 pickup truck in the interim doesn't help, either.) It is a special automobile that you look forward to getting into every time there is a chance to go somewhere, something that brings a smile to your face as you walk across the parking lot toward it. The MCS is, I believe, such a car. Special. Unique, even.
The Miniusa website and the "Ask Mini" resource--as well as this website--offer a great opportunity to make the whole Mini experience even more special.
CR/B MCS, Premium Pkg, Interior Body Color, Athracite Headliner, Fog Lights, LSD, and DSC.
Later.

Welcome to the group.
Funny...that's exactly what I've been driving since '99 and I'm oh so ready for the change.

I'm in again
Hi All,
I just checked the production schedule for mine and my daughters MINI's (yes 2). I am scheduled for a production completion of June 13 and Steph's is June 12, so I guess were in! As you can see in my sig, this is my second time around but the first time I ordered (bought off lot in '02).
Odas, I know what you are dealing with. I have owned many a BMW and I am currently selling my 325 SMG sedan... a true joy to drive! However, the MINI was just too fond a memory to not have another go. I even talked my daughter into buying one as well!
Cheers to all, happy motoring, and please do not forget to acknowledge your fellow motors on the road! We are all special people driving a very special car

Here are two sites that provide good insights/info on delivery scheduling:
http://motoringfile.com/2005/05/13/m...pping_timeline
http://www.gbmini.net/gallery/GBMINI...NI_2005?full=1
I am benchmarking our delivery using the (very good) timeline experienced by GBMINI.
So far, we are doing good:
GBMINI: Ours: *** Days
Day # Day # Date Over/Under
Ordered 0 0 29MAY06
Order to Production 9 7 05JUN06 -2
Production to Complete 15 est 17 15JUN06 +2
Complete to Arrive Port 28 est 31 29JUN06 +3
Arrive Port to Delivery 33 est 36 04JUL06 +3
One WW vessel is scheduled for departure from Southampton on 15JUN06 an another on 17JUN06, with arrival in Charleston on 29JUN06 and 01JUL06, respectively. Could be other possibilities, but these are likely ships for all of us in Prod Wk 24 who will be getting delivery on the East coast. For our Mini, from Charleston the car will go to Spartenburg, SC Vehicle Processing Center and from there to Mini Nashville.
I have a VIN already. (All of this group can likely obtain from Ask Mini, if your VIN is not showing up on Mini USA yet.) With that I should be able to home in on the ship along about 15JUN06.
"Many a slip between the cup and lip (the Cooper and the ship?
) . . . ." We'll see.
(The smilies are a hoot!)

Based on that, we are doing great, with 2 day quicker into production (05JUN06) following ordering (29MAY06) and a 3 day quicker scheduled completion (15JUN0 6). The most optimistic date for delivery is thus 28JUN06, 28 days vs. GBMINI's 33 days.
Sounds good so far . . . .

Odas Koger - Great info! I was trying to find out where the vessel schedule was, but couldn't. What port do we ship out of? Where are you from (where is your MINI going)? Is there a chance we wouldn't be on a WW ship, but a K-Line ship instead? What is your best guess on when you'll take delivery of your MINI?
My MINI's completion date was just changed again to June 12th now! It started at June 14th, went to June 13th 2 days ago, and now it is the 12th! I think catching the June 15th ETD vessel probably won't happen. We'll have to see.

Hi all!
I checked the Owners Lounge today and my MINI is now scheduled for production. I called the phone #, and my estimated complete date is June 12, 2006, so that puts me here with all of you! YAY! It's nice to have a group!

ok, time for me to stop lurking and reveal myself. I placed my order on 6/31 for a MCS All Pure Silver. Confirmed with ASK MINI production complete date as June 12. SO I guess that means we're all in/on the same boat.
The last time I did this (tracking an order from manufacture to delivery) was when I purchase my 03' 350Z. You might remember, this was the pre-order in which none of us had any clue what the real production car was goign to look, drive or even feel like. Heck, I didn't even test drive it! Signed the papers and away I went. I was lucky enoguht to noth have any major problems. To me, she was a very reliable car. Not to mention quick as hell. ok, homage is paid.
Now onto to the new toy! Expected dealer delivery (North East, L.I.), July 10th!
Peace. -m

Just spoke with 866-ASK-MINI and was given the following. My car will be finished production on June 14th. Currrently, I'm in line for paint. Next is assembly.
The rep told they had a pilot program (100 people) where they were given a 12 step birds eye view of the assembly process. Too bad they have not made this available to all Mini orders. I was told the customer response was great and they are looking to impliment this as a permenant feature.
