Everyone I show, loves the car. Got a thumbs up from another MINI driver in the parking lot on a icecream run tonight.

I completed another install for Checker. I installed an OEM Alarm. It's not too hard. The siren gave a slight challenge because of the tight space to work with; otherwise it's easy to install. I'm schedule to get it activated at Mini of Mountain View but the earliest slot they have is Sept. 9
and they will charge $70, which I guess is not too bad. I might have to call other nearby dealer to see if I can get activated earlier. Also, got my checkered floormat for Checker

i think i might hold the highest mileage honors for now for Week 24 - 2200 miles already (and I really havent gone too far in the last 2 weeks)
this was a great car for the road trip (my brother and I, Baton Rouge to Boston, 1500 miles in 2 days) it felt great, and i definitely did not feel like i'd ridden that far, that fast in a small car...
sidenote - rural PA interstates are a killer though, not MINI-friendly (or any car-friendly for that matter). dont think i'd ever seen "speed bumps" on an interstate before, the roads were just that rough and patchy
all in all good times on the trip, and i'm excited to be in Boston now - trying to make some day drives & see the countryside before grad school starts up shortly...
anyone out there from the area,or familiar enough to make some suggestions for places to go, things to see, what to do, what not to do, etc??
hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their MINI as much as I'm enjoying mine
