I'm in Santa Monica. Bought it at Long Beach Mini. Overall the experience was an A+. How's this for a long ride home. Willow St. (LBMini.) turns into Sepevulda -> a couple of quick turns onto PCH -> all the way home*. I wanted to do all streets to get used to it. Have not even gone on the freeway yet.

*ok I stopped on In and Out Burger to break her in...

So get this In and Out was a zoo of course. Not for mini owners. squeezed in where some cars where waiting. And zip. out of here...

I picked up Oscar today at 6pm from Classic. Here are his initial pics! Tomorrow I'm giving him a thorough cleaning and waxing.

It's all still pretty surreal to me. I've been waiting SO LONG to get him, and now he's here! Not to mention, this is my first car and my first big purchase.










PS- There is a sticker on the windshield that's leaving residue behind. How do I remove the sticky residue? Thanks!

Sureal indeed. I basically am so loaded down with work that I did not spend too much time thinking about it till the last 2 weeks. Then it was a case of Mini Fever.

Hi Bluegarvis, I had to play tour guide last weekend. My friend came for a visit. So we hit Golden Gate, great highway, palace of fine arts, explotarium, china town, rode the cable cars and went to fisherman's whart on Saturday and Sunday. It would have been great if I had my mini to drive my friend around. I have to settle with my bro's eclipse since I already sold my WRX.

I believe I was in Sagittarius Leader which docked 07/15 but so far the OL has not updated my status to VDC. I'm hoping my mini gets to Sacramento this weekend.

I'm really so envious in all those Week 24 who have receive and driving their mini with a grin on their face. I wish I could wear the grin this weekend. Keeping my finger cross.

My MA went through just about everything in the car that you'd find in the Owner's Manual and to tell you the truth, I remember next to nothing. All I could think of was, "gimme the keys, gimme the keys, gimme the keys..."

 

Just drove to OC and back.First time on the freeway.

Thanks! I'm absolutely loving it. We just got from motoring this evening in the city. Ran into my first Mini enthusiast and was given the thumbs up. He asked what year and how old. I said, 1 day old! Technically, less than that. Nice guy. He mentioned going onto the forumns... so if you are out there fellow Mini enthusiast (I believe he was FDNY) I made it to the message boards. Where/Who are you?

I lvoe it, he even drove a red Mini (silver roof)!

 

so who's left without their mini yet for week 24 besides myself? Hopefully, I get mine either Wednesday or Thursday.

 

And me.... delivery date is still set by Owners Lounge at 7/31...

FYI. At least for me the OL said Delivery Date 7/17. But I got the call from my dealer on 7/15 but since it was over a weekend I told them I would pick it up on monday.
