A live person at "Ask Mini" told me my car entered paint on Saturday and the scheduled completion is today (11/7). He said my MINI's records haven't been updated since it went to paint so I can only assume it finished final assembly today... I'll post more as I know.

 

When I called today, the representative told me that my Royal Grey MCS should be at the port and was finished a bit early. OL still isn't updated and neither is ASK-MINI.

 

Mine is still going to undergo some work here in MN, so would the birthday then be after final prep? It's not just a small job either, it's the JCW suspension and the side skirts (I don't like the aero kit bumpers...).

 

Stuck in "Scheduled for Production" Hell! Called ask MINI twice today same answer Started on 10/31/05 but even they can not find any further information on this order. Neither can my MA! They tell me all the options every time I call but I still can't see them in the owners lounge.

 

I called 1-866-ASK-MINI this morning and the automated message informed me that: "your vehicle production status is complete and your vehicle is waiting to be released to the carrier." The website is still lagging with no options listed and status is still listed as Scheduled for Production. So again, rely on the toll free number. Also, in my case the automated has been fairly accuract, but I know some of you have had better luck with a live customer representative in receiving more accurate information. Generally I find that the live rep. knew in advance that the automated message would be updated the following day to reflect that my car would be completed. My Week 45 car was scheduled for production to start on 10-28-05 and to be completed on 11-07-05. So, in short, Week 45 cars seem to be on schedule and you should be able to verify on the following day of your scheduled completion date that your car has actually been completed and is awaiting release to the carrier. I hope this is good news for everyone in Week 45.

I still don't see my options on OL, so don't sweat it. I am confirmed in the Port from week 44 build at the Wallenius Wilhelmesen cargo tracking, Maybe the options don't get entered until it hits, whoops, I mean until it reaches the USA VDC center. Happy waiting, I am amazed how fast things have been going, actually.

 

When I called the automated message it still says that the car is in the body shop with an expected completion date of 11/7. Either they are behind schedule or the auto message hasn't been updated. I'd guess the message is behind and the cars is completed... will talk to a live person later today and see.

BTW... my options aren't listed in the lounge either, MIB. I have a feeling they'll never be updated so don't worry... it's what the rep at ask-mini has in his computer that is being built.

ja ME s: Kinda figured we would be together, makes sense to spray All the Astro Black MINIs at the same time.

 

FYI, I checked the WW schedule today and it looks like the 11/16 boat 'tosca' has been dropped from the lineup. I couldn't find it searching by vessel either... wonder if it sank? :P

 

I would rather see more ships leaving next week, than less.

What I've been doing daily is entering my VIN into the Wallenius Wilhelmsen cargo tracking to see if my car has a place on a ship. Nothing found yet.

 

I called ask mini today and was told my car was at the port yesterday! They told me they can't tell me anything more until it arrives, so I'll try the boat tracking from here. I'm at the port!!

 

Just off the automated phone, in the pain shop with an estimated completion of 11/8 .

I guess if that's right then they take less than a day to go from start to finish!

Oh, and I'm Space Blue - so maybe more SBers are in the paint shop as well, or on their way down the line?

 

I just tracked my VIN on the WW site. I didn't expect to see it there quite yet, but the car has apparently cleared receiving already AND WAS BOOKED on the UNDINE mid-afternoon today.

And when I checked the shipping schedule for that vessel, it said the UNDINE sails today! The site even lists the 'Voyage Number' associated to the cargo status - it is EX510-UND.

If I am reading this right, that means that my car was completed at the factory yesterday, then made it to the port, got booked and loaded onto the fastest WW ship all in one day, and will dock in Charleston on Nov. 18th!! - !!! OH BABY !!!

My Chili Red Convertible is slated to be finished 11/11, which may put me in week 46 depending... I'll try to be a glass half full guy and stay here.

 

It looks like my MCS got on the Undine today.

I tried W&W a couple of times today and at about noon it registered my VIN, and said it was on the Undine which had already left the port.

I'm glad the Undine was delayed by a day at Southampton, 'cause it was just enough time to get me on it appears.

Owner's Lounge doesn't show anything but "scheduled for production", but ASK-MINI notes that I'm enroute to the port or some silly nonsense like that. But none of that matters since I'm on the boat!

What status does your car have on the WW site? Does it show "Booked" or something else? That's what mine shows right now, even though - as you said - the ship seems to already be underway ....

From my week 44 build on 11-1, my very first entry showed "Booked" on the WWW site, that was when it arrived at the terminal on 11-2, then "Received at Terminal", a minute later. Today on 11-8 it showed "loaded on vessel" and then click on the voyage ID # and Southhampton is in red meaning it has left the Port. I think they have to show all that to have gotten a "berth".

 

The last entry says RECEIVED AT TERMINAL @ 4:19.
Well, I'm hopeful that I made the boat. It would be nice if W&W said that.
