I was changed to BOHEME this afternoon... That leaves on the 15th. bummer.

MINIUSA still has me as in production but when i call ask mini it says that i'm at the dock

If you scroll through the list you will find the Patriot. I was interested in finding a picture but there was not one on the WW site as it's only a 50% ship I guess. The picture on this one is small, but there. I think the date listing may be when the pitcure was taken? If you click through you can get some bigger pictures. I didn't check the other boats listed, but there's a bunch!

Also, it looks like WW actually sold the Patriot to American Roll-on Roll-off Carrier. Here's their website: http://www.arrcnet.com.

Almost forgot, the Patriot used to be named the Fidelio and was renamed in 2004 after the sale. You can see a picture of it on WW site under the old name I just discovered.

I think I've probably obsessed about this enough for the night though. Most of the info I found today is probably relatively pointless, but just maybe someone will see the ship their MINI is on leave port.

I'm on the Patriot as well! I thought I'd check this morning for the hell of it, and there it was! So, I might have my car by the end of Nov.!

 

Skeffers has been booked and received at the terminal for the Boheme.

No ship yet, but production is finally done. Just got updated this morning, so hopefully it will get assigned to one of these ships and not fall behind everyone else...

 

For some reason I was thinking of the blue top on the convertible......... :smile:

 

It looks like I spoke too soon. Just checked again and it looks like I am on the Patriot as well. Now I just need to hope I don't get bumped.

 

LOL. I just checked WW and I'm still not showing as booked but the automated guy says I'm complete and released to carrier. at least I should get on one of the ships next week. and last I checked they both arrive at NY the same day.

 

Just a tidbit for all the Patriot people here, looks like we make a quick stop in Boston (the 23rd) on the way to Charlston (26th). It also appears that the turn-around in Southampton is less than 24 hours as the arrival and departure dates there are both the 14th of November.

I spoke to mini today and it seems that i'm still in assembly (paint was finished on the 8 th) and hopefully should be done in the next few days (they are open 24/7).:impatient
I really hope that i can get on the ship sometime next week...If so i wonder which one?

 

Don't worry. You'll get on the Boheme or the Liberty. They'll arrive the same day in NJ.

OK this is Friday, November 11th anyone that is not at the port is now officially Week 46. Sorry to have lost you.

Well,I am getting my Mini before Thanksgiving for sure,it seems,arrives in New York next Friday and will be at the dealer by 22-23.
This is what it is going to look like.It was the color combo that was offered this year that force me to buy a new one,my 2002 it only has 16K on it.

 

Just checked with the folks at ASK-MINI, and they told me my production was completed, and that there may have been some holdup in actually getting it to the docks. So, if production is complete, and it's currently week 45 production, I'd say I'm week 45, regardless of when Trinity gets to the docks. So there!

That being said, since I completed production on Veteran's Day, maybe I need to rename this car to something more patriotic, like Lady Liberty, or Libby, for short? :-p

Now I'm torn.

 

When are you expecting to pick up your MINI? Maybe we can have MIB there and take a Week 45 Photo?

 

Not sure yet. Once I know for sure what boat it's on, and can see when it will be stateside, I will have a better guesstimate of when I will be able to pick it up. I have a few dealer-installs as well (JCW suspension, door sills, aux input, alarm system...) so prep may take a little longer than usual... But at least when I get her she'll be exactly the way I want her!

Quick question, while decoding the VIN on this site:

I discovered that I had a "5" where there was supposed to be a "4" - the 8th character. I was wondering if anyone else has this? I've contacted the gentleman that runs the site and so far the best we can come up with is the factory JCW as the reason.

Anybody else? Any ideas? Something to ponder as we await the dreaded ship tracking across the pond?

 

I'm booked for BOHEME... Any guestimates on when I might take delivery? I'm in NJ. I belive the boats actually dock in the Port of Newark which is ~15 miles from me and ~25 from my dealer.

 

My Vin has a 5 there and it is a JCW. Its possible?
