in assembly - pushed back from 11/9 to 11/11. Hopefully we all make the ships next week - if we don't make it by the 17th when is the next batch of ships scheduled for?

 

My cargo ship info changed ... I'm now listed on Electra. Funny this is we have electra listed as leaving on 11/8... is our schedule wrong?

Yesterday, my car was in the paint shop and it still has a completion date of November 10!?

 

Called ASK Mini, production is complete. She said call back Monday and we can give you shipping information.

 

All these updates are killing me:impatient I've been in production since the 1st with no updates.....

 

I just checked WW and am now no longer going to need to check the OL as I'm booked on the Patriot. Now I wait until next Monday/Tuesday and see if it's shipped I guess.

Arrival for the Patriot is listed as the Saturday after Thanksgiving, so even if it gets in a little early it probably will not effect delivery date. I'm guessing it might make it to MN by the first weekend in December. I have dealer installs so I don't expect to take delivery until the first full week of December.

We talked to the bank about financing last night and now I just need to do some comparison shopping so we can decide if the convienience of the bank is worth the price difference of a different lender.

I really need to be careful as I am also so close to adding the illuminated s door sills back on that I'm almost afraid to call my MA - and I need to for my final purchase price so I know what to get the loan for!

I think I'll make a signature today with my MINI stats during lunch...

 

I just got off the phone and found out that MIB is DONE and on the way to the ship!

WW shows MIB at the terminal 11/10/05 at 1342. Booked on the Patriot 11/10/05 at 1237.

 

Could someone help me in trying to determine the name of the ship my car is booked on for transport. My car was completed on Monday 11/07/2005 and it was transported to the dock. The 1-866-ASK-MINI line says that the car is at the dock, but can not tell me if it is booked on a ship. IS THIS SOMETHING I NEED TO FIND OUT FROM MY DEALERSHIP? By the way I am very happy for the group that many of your cars have been made and are now on their way. I shall want pictures from the East Coast WEEK 45 Group, as I will be at least 2 weeks behind many of you, as mine will need to go through the Panama Canal to the Left Coast (California).

Is your car going to the east coast? if so, you can track via the VIN number at the WW site.

if yours is going to the west coast you will need to call your MA to get the balance of the information. there is a link in a post above just under the schedules where they will give you more information.

 

good news! I just spoke with a live person on ask mini and my little guy is complete and finished being built today! it doesn't show up on the WW website yet, but I'm hoping it will tomorrow. right now he's probably waiting for someone to give him his first drive to the dock!

 

Good luck finding it on the WW site - mine has supposedly been at the dock since monday, and there is still no information on what ship its scheduled for.

 

Thank you for your responses. My car is going to the West Coast and I called my dealer to see which ship transport has been arranged for my car. East Bay Mini has told me that they have been asked that same question in the past and they have no way of knowing.
Oh well, it looks like I have hit a dead end in tracking my vehicle. Perhaps it is just more difficult to track cars coming to the West Coast.

Does anyone know the call sign for ww PATRIOT? There are atleast 4 ouf us on this ship

but can not find the call sign on any of the WW pages

From the WW site, the Patriot was built in Jan 1987 and can hold 5450 cars

I think that the call sign is WQVY

For 'Patriot', only 3 listed are frieght vessels:
C6RQ7 = Panama Reg.
WQVY = USA Reg
9HFX7 = Malta Reg.

If you can locate any of these call signs on the Ocean Weather site it could rule out or prove to be the one

Looking through the follow-on messages it looks like WQVY is the favored callsign and oceanweather.com as well as accuweather.com were the preferred tracking sites.

I'll keep looking, and am looking for web cams for southampton as I found a site that showed a picture of the boat they were going to be taken off of what looked like a webcam.

 

Yes just found it as WQVY The registery is USA despite 50% WW ownership. This is what was giving me fits.

Please post and PM me when you get the URL to the web cam. I want to see the Patriot sail!

I put my VIN into the WW site above and am booked on the BOHEME. I wasn't expecting to get anything since the automated phone message on ask mini has my car being completed tomorrow.

Yay!! My MINI is on the Patriot, leaving Germany on 11/12 and scheduled to arrive at Brunswick, GA on Nov 27. Thanks for posting the link for entering the VIN to see if she were on the ship! The website still says "scheduled for production". :smile::smile:

I just spoke to ASK-MINI, and my car is complete! It's currently somewhere on the M3 making it's way to Southampton. No sign of it yet on the WW site though.. I wonder if this is because I'm on the West Coast?
At this rate the car will be here in a matter of weeks.. Me thinks I need to start thinking about selling my old car. Anyone want to buy a pristine, year old Cooper?

Way Cool! I found my mini has been loaded on the Elektra today (11/10/05). OL still lists her as scheduled for production with none of the factory options listed. Obviously the Elektra has not sailed as of 11:34 today. Oddly enough the WW voyage details for the ELEKTRA have the ship as having sailed on 11/9, first stopping in Halifax Nova Scotia on 11/16, and finally in New York on 11/18!

 

According to the WW website, the ELEKTRA sailed yesterday. You could be on it. Or not.
