I just got off the phone with ASK MINI and it has been confirmed that my MINI is scheduled for production on week 45. What a bummer.

jsound: Yours going through the canal? Or you picking up in the east and doing brake in on the drive back to Cali?

What's your MINI going to look like?

No change in production status. According to the ASKMINI rep the production date seems to be WEEK 45 (November 7). OL still shows my car on order and just the body color.

Well, let me join in as well. Just got confirmed for week 45.

Cooper CR/B with sport/cold weather and some other nice stuff. Needless to say, I already can't stand the wait... :impatient

MIB has a CR/ B brother. Same options! Got Xenons? Full set of toggles? Interior?

No Xenons...

Interior is black leatherette, anthracite, chrome. I'm thinking I'll be one toggle short but not sure. I have the front fogs, but not rear. Not too many other accessories out of the packages, but I think that should do it.

PS, MIB = ???

MINI In Black [see the pix in my sig]. OK, technically Astro Black. Did you go Anthracite head liner? Or just dash like us?

LOL. You mean the big picture that can't be missed if I'm paying attention.

Just got the Anthracite dash, no headliner. The headliner looks cool, but it's a bit too dark for me.

New Member to the Production Week 45 Support Group

 I am a new member to the Production Week 45 Support Group as I contacted the Mini support phone line, and they verified the specs and week of production. Unless I am wrong in reading this thread, week 45 looks like factory JCW Mini production bound for the U.S (including Convertible JCW's).

My Specs: MCS Convertible, 6-speed Getrag Manual, Chili Red, Black Top, Cordoba Beige Leather with Anthracite Surface Trim, JCW package, Sport Package, no bonnet stripes, 5 spoke 17" wheels, Cold Weather Package, Chrome Ext. & Interior, full set of toggles (rear fog light, etc.), 8-Speaker Harmon Kardon Stereo, Auto A/C, and on board computer. So, we've got 4 MC's and 4 JCW MCS's for Week 45. There will be plenty of room on our ship.

I'm scheduled for Nov. as well - MCSC

I plugged my prod. # into the owners lounge, and it gives the color, seating surfaces, but no other options are listed (and I have a bunch) and it simply states the car is "ordered"

What is the phone # for ask mini?

I ordered my MCSC last week. DS with black top, anth. dash, PB leather, LSD, premium, cold, convenience, sport packages. No stripes, and I'm getting the R99 anthracite wheels. It should look exactly like this -

I'd love to find out the production week - I can't wait for this car. I've had a few new cars under my belt, but this is the most difficult wait of all of them!

I just called them (the automated system as they're obviously closed sunday) and they said the car was ordered, with no set production date.

Just curious, but has anyone else got this exact look from a spouse
whenever he/she finds you in front of the computer checking the status of your mini order?

MrsDiff has said that she has already been divorced for MIB and NAM.

I Checked on MIB today and nothing has changed. 06, Cooper, Astro Black, no options, no VIN number nothing.

I have learned that when MINI says "Week X" they mean the car will be built by Friday of week X.

Week 44 is in 3 weeks and week 45 is in 4 weeks.

My understanding is that "Week X" consists of all cars completing production during the previous week (small "w") up to Monday of "Week X". Does that make sense?

For example, the Monday of Production Week 45 (November 7) is actually the last day of the production week. So, the previous Tuesday (November 1) is the beginning of Production Week 45. Our MINI's will be completed during this time frame.

Well, it seems that I may be wrong about week 45 as exclusively factory-built John Cooper Works Mini production week, as some other very fine Coopers are being built during the same week. Thanks for sharing the specs on your cars. In viewing the thread, all of you have come up with some great configurations that hopefully we'll be able to share pics of in about 3 months. vincesf

Based on the way it was explained on MINI2, Let me Clarify:
Week 45 is October 31st - November 4th. Any MINI scheduled for week 45 should be out the factory door, and at the dock waiting for a ship by closing time Friday November 4, 2005.

Week 44 is October 24th -28th. If your MINI has not left the factory by closing time October 28, 2005, then your car will be week 45.

Our explanations are very close. The difference is whether Mondays are the beginning or end of a week. When I called the ASKMINI rep she said production week 45 is November 7. It seems to correspond with all the previous postings of production week and production date. (Well 99% of them.) That's my basis that Mondays are the end of the week.

It's very sad that I'm discussing the exact days of a Production Date. I just want my car.

THREE MONTHS????
  1. It takes about a week to build and get from factory to ship yard.
  2. A week at the yard, 2 if it gets bumped. A week and a half at sea (2.5 for you West coasties who will pick up there).
  3. A week or so to get from dock to your dealer.
That is Six to Eight weeks, not Twelve weeks!

Yes, hopefully you're right, but I believe you're forgetting the 3 weeks before step 1 above. vincesf

All I can hear is that Carly Simon song from the Heinz ketuchup commercial...

Anticipation its making me wait...
OK folks, I received my official notice last night that my 2006 SB MCS JCW production date/schedule has been pushed back from 4 October 2005 to 14 November 2005. I ordered my MINI back in Mid-September 2005.:impatient

The reason I was given for the production delay was the JCW option package I ordered were taking BMW/MINI longer to incorporate into the 2006 factory assembly line process, plus BMW/IMNI was having problems keeping up with the large demands for the factory installed JCW option package.

I'm officially bummed. . . .

A nice lady at ASK Mini told me this morning that week 45 starts 11-7 and ends 11-13. Another person the other day said it looks like you might get an early Christmas present. I'm thinking delivery first to mid-December.

Confirmed the dates that Dawgfan got. No model# nothing else.

Hopefully we all will be on a boat by Thanksgiving, and driving by Christmas!

MSRP is a good thing. I hope you don't have to sail through the Canal!

If my car gets on the first ship immediately after production, I'm hoping for delivery before first weekend in December--like Thanksgiving.
