Dr. Diff:
Thanks for compiling the order spec's of the Production Week 45 Support Group. My MCS Chili Red convertible has the JCW package. I'm looking forward to top down days and hearing the sound of that JCW exhaust.
Thanks,
vincesf

Kinda sounds like the first drive I ever took in a MINI. 2005 BRG MCSC full JCW packages. I was smiling for days afterwords.

yikes! I'm still waiting for the MA to call me back today and confirm I got the financing. I'm thinking the VIN number will really make it feel like it's really happening!

Thank you again. Well this is exciting as it seems that about this time next week, most all of us should have VIN numbers, and finally out of the MINI purgatory, known as "On Order" status. Great news and thanks for sharing.

We should have VIN Numbers by next Friday, November 28th. Remember they don't take the long weekend for Thanksgiving. NOW there is something to be THANKFUL for!

Dr. Diff:
I believe you meant that we all should have VIN numbers by the end of next week which is "October" 28th, as Thanksgiving falls on November 24th. By Thanksgiving, our cars should have already been produced and on their way to us, barring no delays.
Thanks again, vincesf

well folks I called 866-ask-mini for the first of many times last night to confirm that my car config is in fact in their system (the owners lounge still has it as cr/b) and was able to confirm with the guy on the phone that everything is kosher. he said that in the early part of the model years the site never loads the updates fast because of feature and option updates that have to be put into the system... sounds like their IT department is about as worthless as mine

Week 44 is October 24th -28th. If your MINI has not left the factory by closing time October 28, 2005, then your car will be week 45.
Not sure if I will be helping or confusing... but my car is scheduled for week 43 and now when I call they say it will be completed on October 30. Which, by my math, is the last day of the forty-third week.

It really doesn't matter, we all want our cars now!

AMEN BROTHER PREACH ON!

Yes I kinda screwed up

We should have production numbers by next Friday (October 28). Our cars should be assembled tested and on the way to the dock to wait for a ship by Friday November 11. They might be on US Soil and being AMERIKANIZED around Thanksgiving. If we are lucky we should have our cars by Mid December. Hopefully all will be at their permanent homes by Christmas.

theroyalwe: I am my own IT department! I purchased the parts and assembled the last three white boxe computer. Even operating system instals!

Ahem, I believe you mean "jsound" not "josound".

Edit: Neorants and I are twin brothers! Are you going to mod your car at all?

For Coopers it is RC33

For Cooper S it is RE33

For Cooper S Convertables it is RH33

I don't think JCW packages are in the VIN. Though IMHO it should be!

I agree with including the # in the VIN... but there are a lot of cars out there that had the JCW package added after they were built (well... all of them until our week) so that shouldn't de-value them at all. It would be nice though!

I would agree as well that it should not devalue the JCW's installed by dealers, and it will be interesting to see if factory JCW certificates will be safely kept with our vehicles in transit, and how the JCW package shows up on our "window sticker", as a package or a kit. Lastly, the biggest concern is that nothing is lost in the tuning and quality of the factory JCW install. Given what I have seen with Mini and their factory, I am assuming that everything will be first-rate.

Something else to think about

As if waiting for VIN numbers isn't fun enough. I just saw this in the week 40 thread.

HURICANES

Hoppefully they don't have one as ours are crossing the pond. I don't know how far into Nobember-December these things go. I hope for the week 40 people it stays away/gets weak!

This car is gonna give me a heart attack even before I ever see it!
