Ours was quite accurate. We ordered Hobbes on 10/31 and our MA was sure it would be before Christmas. Then during the process, once a ship was booked, my MA thought it would be ready to roll by 12/12. I was surprised to learn it showed up at the dealer a week earlier and picked him up on 12/7.

Bummer, just called dealerin Loveland, CO and my MA is not working today. No trucks in yet this week. My Coupe came in on the Mignon on the 15th. I only have the 29th that I can get the car this year. Just hoping that the truck makes it in in the next day or so.
(Working Christmas and new years so you don't have to...)

MA says my blue Coupe left the VDC yesterday (26th) and will only make it to Colorado on Thursday (29th) so most likely I have to pick up on Saturday the 31st.
That's going to be a L-O-N-G day since I have to work that night.
This really is the hardest part of the wait so far....

Anyone else been waiting at the port of Bremerhaven for a few weeks? Not sure what's going on but our cars appear to have missed 5 vessels so far...

Well unfortunately The Oberon (which has been sitting in the port at Baltimore) is on the move again. The bad part is it's moving back toward the Fairfield terminal where BMW/Mini's are dealt with. The WW shipping line tracking site listed my Mini as "cleared customs" yesterday and "liner release" today so I'm guessing the Holiday held the whole process up for a few days. I'm betting that anyone who has a Mini on the Oberon is having their car offloaded tonight.

Funny that the OL has had my car at the VDC for 2 days now with an estimated delivery of 12/30. I suppose it's possible but barely.

I e-mailed one of my MA and he said it's scheduled for tomorrow though it could change so I'm more optimistic for delivery by Sat. Then I was a couple weeks ago.

I just got a call from my MA who is waiting for another car to get me the black mirror caps off of it. He said due to storms at sea, ships are delayed coming in.

That's good news! I was planing to call my MA in the morning to see what he could tell me. Good news is the oberon discharged it's cargo today FINALLY so we at least know our Mini's are on solid ground. Hopefully the VDC will go in record time and your right. We'll have them by saturday.

I don't think the storms effected our ship as it has been docked in port since the 23rd well away from the open seas. Of course I'm no ships Captain so my knowledge is little. I'm thinking the delay had more to do with Christmas than anything.

UPDATE:

I left a message earlier today for my MA to call me for any info he might have about my Mini being trucked to the dealer. I was a bit surprised when he said it was there and he was pulling my file to get the paperwork in order. I'll be picking it up tomorrow evening which funny enough is my Birthday. Obviously I'm happy about that.

It's been confusing as hell since the ship originally docked on the 23rd and the OL said my car was at the VDC since the 24th but the WW shipping line only yesterday had me cleared from customs and discharged today. TO add to the confusion the ship had pulled back up to the BMW terminal today and later left Baltimore altogether. I was convinced that due to the Xmas Holiday things had come to a halt at the port and my Mini had been sitting on the ship.

Peterpan101, I'd say you should be seeing your Mini very soon!!

Picked her up today. Will post pictures when I slow down enough to be photographed and am not working. (Monday) Sweet ride. Ever so much nicer in the wind. (50 + MPH here on the front range today.)

Wishing and hoping and thinking and praying!

I ordered my light white 2012 All4 manual Countryman last week! I'm so so so so excited but my stomach is in knots! I'm so impatient and this is Killing me!!! I'm pretty glad to find out that there is a support group!

I've been a good girl and done all my homework! I set up my OL account and have read the official and unofficial owners manuals all the way through (the official one twice). I have read many blogs and watched many youtube videos. I have been through all the extras on both the mini and owners lounge websites. Not only do I know how to adjust the seats and roll up the windows, I now know that corner breaking assist is good in winter driving so I won't be indebted to a moose! I even found a list of all the voice commands and made a small in car/purse size one to bring with until I learn them all!

So as you can see I have a tiny bit of an obsessive personality! I have been told Mr Rupert Smitty SmithBuster my (see I can't name him officially until I meet him but I'm picking out my top baby names) little minion will go into production mid January. At this time on the website it's still saying On Order. I know in the grand scheme of things two months is not that long to wait considering we have a lifetime once he gets here, but I am just beside myself waiting. I am channeling my inner optimist and hoping by mid January they mean EARLY January also meaning next week! A girl can hope right?!

The worst part about all this is I can't tell my friends I'm ordering a car from the factory because they already think I'm spoiled. So I am just ready for the cat to be out of the bag and my Mini to be in my arms (or I in his).
Thanks for listening!

Well I picked up my Coupe on the evening of the 29th as planned (albeit unexpectedly)! Obviously this made for a great Birthday present. The car is wonderful and I'm having a great time breaking him in even though I only have 56 miles on the tires so far. Taking him to the family New Years dinner tonight to show him off and get with my nephew on what mods were going to tackle first.

The factory did make a couple mistakes in the production but nothing I can't live with in the end. I was supposed to get black challenge spoke wheels but received the standard silver alloy challenge spoke instead. It's ok and not worth the hassle of waiting for replacement black ones as I planned on buying another set of black/red lip wheels anyway. I'll just use the silver ones for my winter tires and they looks great regardless. The other mess up was that I had ordered the dash surface in the raised brushed aluminum but it showed up with Piano black. Not a problem at all as it looks insanely great in person. Much better than the aluminum in my opinion. There's a small checkered flag in the right corner by the passenger door imbedded in it as well which is a nice little touch.

Apparently what happened was some of those features that I had ordered had changed in the JCW offerings between the time I ordered the car to the time it went in to production. In fact I can't even see the brushed aluminum dash offered on MINIUSA now at all. At least for a JCW. I consider myself lucky those changes were made and production wasn't halted due to the order not matching what MINI is now offering. I've read that has happened to some folks.

So far this is the most fun I've ever had with any car I've ever owned! I imagine it will only get more fun as he gets broken in! I will post some pics as soon as I can! Thanks to everyone for listening to me pine away while waiting for this drama to unfold.

I have just over 100 miles on. 75 to - from work. Two of my co-workers race cars. Wanted to borrow her. No, I am not crazy. I am not lending my car to someone who knows how to drive it! The drive was especially sweetened by how well she handles the wind here. Does not notice. Pics soon too.....

So being new to Mini and new to this forum, I wrote an entry about my waiting process for my All4 Light White manual Countryman of which I am past chewing my nails and down to the 2nd metacarpal by now waiting for and it didn't post! I got a little thing saying my post had to be approved and now my little thing says I’ve never mad a post. :( But I digress! I was so excited to find a support group and to read that I am not alone in my anguish of waiting. I have been called many things but Never EVER have I been called patient! I even considered settling for a car that was sort of similar to the one I wanted and drive it home 2500 miles instead of waiting 2 months. But my wonderful Hubby said and I quote "If I'm spending this much money on a car for you, you better get the car you absolutely want because you are going to have it for forever (think Sandlot fooorrrrreeeevvvvvveeeeeerrrrr)!"

So we ordered Rupert Smitty Smithbuster Jorge the Minion (because we know there is no way of knowing his true name until we meet) last week, on the 27th to be exact, and thus began our journey! Now I know that a lot of you have been waiting far longer than me so I really shouldn't be whining like, but isn't that what a support group is all about?! I can’t wait for the day when my little screen gives me at least a date to kind of go by! It’s killing me not having anything on paper to look forward to. So far I’ve been told mid January. My inner optimist is hoping by mid January they mean early January and by early January, they mean next week! A girl can hope can’t she?! The dealer has said that we will get him any time between now and March at the latest… March?! Like a lifetime away?! I know in the grand scheme of things 2 months is nothing when we have a lifetime to spend together, but What in the world am I going to do until then?!
Like any good future Mini parent I signed up to the OL and have been watching it like a hawk. Well maybe like watching for water to boil because it never changes. I have also done my research! I have the apps downloaded and set up as much as can be without the car. I have read the official and unofficial owners manuals all the way through (the official one twice). I have read many blogs and watched countless YouTube videos. I have been through all the extras on both the mini and owners lounge websites. Not only do I know how to adjust the seats and roll up the window, I now know that corner breaking assist is good in winter driving so I won't be indebted to a moose! I even found a list of all the voice commands and made a small in car/purse size one to bring with until I learn them all! So needless to say I’d consider myself prepared and ready to take on the Mini responsibility!
Now I wait! Ahhhh!!

Hi everybody!

I ordered a chilli red mini cooper coupe S about a month ago. It's done being built and I'm waiting for it to show up so that i can terrorize the highway with it! Is it just me or is the waiting game to get these cars the most painful experience ever?! Haha I mean it's awesome that you are waiting for the delivery of such a cool car but, it's a pain in the butt because you can't drive it haha. My car finished it build time on the 20th of December 11' how long do you guys think it'll be before i get it?

A good MA will have the most accurate info for you but I'd think there might be some slow down due to the holidays. However, you can find a lot of tracking info here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d-updated.html.

I'd take a look to see if your MINI is booked on a ship yet based on the VIN. If not, you can at least see which ships (WW only) are sailing out of Southampton when and you can hope for a booking on one of them. Good luck with the wait. I know it's tough. It was for us, but we had a relatively quick turnaround (6 weeks from order to pickup).
