For those Tombarrians that's received their babies or at least has seen it at the dealership, does OL show "at your mini dealer" or does it show that it's at the vdc still. Mine still shows at VDC.

 

I just checked the OL, it says "at your mini dealer." However, when I called 866-ASK-MINI, it says "your vehicle is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel - there's no shipping information yet."

I'm worried about Hawkling! I was just at my dealer (had an issue with my accord and the honda dealership just happens to be right next door to MINI). I saw Winston again, and when I was there talking with my MA, I told him about Hawkling. I told him that yours is MIA. He was like .. He said your MA should know SOMETHING!!!

 

My OL still says "At Distribution Center" when I've had my car for two days! Thanks, Mike (my MA) for expediting faster than the OL can keep up!

To be fair, ever since I placed my order, the OL has been consistently two days behind actual status.

 

What is taking so long getting Winston ready? Chumahue was ready in a few hours. And I'm worried about Hawkling, too.

 

After looking at the photo, I too was stunned by the difference in size, which is not so apparent while driving.

 

Tint/Clear mask people were delayed, plus I wanted to have my delivery on the weekend (due to having to work during the week). It just so happened that Winston arrived at my dealer on a Monday

Got word that my cabrio arived today, but then the dealer stated that they couldn't possibly have it done in time. (Needed it by mid-afternoon in order to get back in time to pick up the fiance and head to the airport.) Looks like the 'surprise' will have to wait till she gets back.

I'll be taking the day off tomorrow to go get it. (The hazard of going through the fleet side. Good price, but you have to operate within their work schedule.)

Oh well, at least the options I keep adding can now be installed at a less hap-hazzard pace.

 

So now people on Vega_Leader are getting theirs and they were a couple or few days behind Tombarra. As of right now, no update from my MA and I sent an email to him and the manager this morning. This is starting to get annoying. I'll call them on my way to the gym.

 

Anybody on a ship heading to Brunswick, GA? My MA told me that Deuce is about 12 days until arrive. I'm not sure if that means when it arrives at the dock or at the dealer. I also am not sure which boat I'm on...when I put my VIN into WW's tracker, it has no info. Congrats to everyone finally getting their MINIs!

If anyone is curious to why I decided to call my car Deuce, it's because this is the 2nd car I've had to order through this process. My MA screwed up the order the first time around, so I've been waiting for my MINI since March!

 

OK This is getting ridiculous Can you call 866-ask-mini or do you think that would be a waste of time? I'm sure you're extremely upset. I'm upset and it's not even my car! How about going by your dealership and not creating a scene, but sitting down and talking to the sales manager and getting to the bottom of this once and for all? Hawkling!?!?

 

I understand your frustration. While it's likely on a truck somewhere between CA and Seattle, is there really no way for your dealer to know the transport company name and the truck's ETA? This may call for a personal visit to the dealership.

This is seriously messed up. Someone should be able to give you a straight answer about where your car is. Someone at the VDC should be able to tell your MA what the status is. If it's in transport from the VDC to the dealer they should be able to confirm that.

 

The OL is always late to be updated, no way can you go by what it says. I had Pumpkinhead in possession 3 days before it showed at the dealer and was at the VDC for 2 days before changing from waiting for a vessel.

 

OMG, that is worse than my situation (I think).

 

I appreciate all of your concerns. I'm sure it's on a truck as well. I called my MA and he and the manager that I initially worked with are both out today. So I asked for another person who says he remembered me and mentioned that they're just like me, waiting and that all he can do is put the vin in the system and see what it says. It's showing as "released to carrier" or something like that. I explained that many of you have been told when it should be at the dealer and I'm unsure where it's at. He just re-iterated the vin thingy. I'll call Seattlemini (I ordered from Northwest mini) to see if there's someone better that may be able to contact someone at the VDC to see what the hold up is.
