deejay_001...sorry that you're still dealing with the drama of not knowing where Hawkling is. Just have faith that he will show up soon and know that once he does, all of this will be a distant memory.
To brighten things up just a little, I got to the dealership to pick Raphael at 6:30 tonight and when they brought him out all clean and sparkling it was simply amazing! I don't have any decent pics because I didn't get out of there until after 9, and then I had to drive by a neighbor's house to show him off, but I'll be sure to post some tomorrow.
All I can say is I couldn't be happier and a smile is permanently affixed to my face!

I basically am not sure if I will be able to afford my MINI or not. I ordered a Justa with only the sport seat upgrade (I really wanted that checker pattern cloth!). I would have ordered more options, but I was already stretching myself thin by trying to get this car.
Well my car should be here in about 12 days and now my MA tells me the final price of the car. First off, I am financing through USAA instead of BMW Financial because they were able to get me a lower Interest Rate and monthly payment. Well, since the 2013's are coming out, the 2012 Justa's MSRP has been lowered to $19,500. USAA will only finance 90% of the car's worth.
My MA agreed to honor the $19,500. I have the rest of the money saved up as a down payment. Apparently, my MA thought we weren't negotiating out-the-door price and once he added tax to the car, it made it totally out of my reach. I would basically have to save up another $2,800 in cash before I pick the car up.
I don't know how I will do it, but I am damn determined. I've been drooling and obsessing over MINIs since March and I won't let this slip away from me. My plan is to eBay all the extra stuff that I don't need and have a garage sale this weekend.

If your going to sell things consider Craigslist as well, you may get faster responses.
You can also try LendingTree for financing. Maybe you can get an offer that will fit your budget without having to clear out your house.

None at all. No emails from MA or anyone at the place (I've talked to a few down there). Hawkling is still MIA. I hope Hawkling didn't **** someone off.

Thanks, but sadly it looks like a miss. Taipan is on the move again, but going the wrong way! (I keep picturing the "You're going the wrong way!" scene in Planes, Trains and Automobiles) I am sure it is just waiting for a slot, but it is currently back in the Caribbean Sea doing donuts.

Sometimes I wish we didn't have the technology we have now. Tracking this dang Mini is exhausting. I don't know what it is with us that have OCD, but tracking this dang car knowing the ETA from the get go...I don't know why I have to check up on it every hour.

Got home after a stress free delivery. I absolutely LOVE Winston! I, like TELY, have a permanent grin on my face and a warm, fuzzy feeling in my stomach.
I have to give my dealer credit where credit is due. They were just wonderful!
Oh how I enjoyed my ride home through some fun twisties! The only thing to put a damper on the afternoon was that it rained. I normally would not want Winston in the rain but we really need the rain with all our wildfires here in CO.
I took a few iPhone pics but don't feel like turning the computer on lol. Will post a few tomorrow after I detail him again lol

Thank you all! I have to admit that when I sat in Winston and felt his extreme comfort, I actually thought about deejay and felt bad that he too wasn't feeling what I was feeling but I know his day will come. Oh how I can't wait to see actual pics of HAWKLING. He's part of the family!

On the other hand, mine should be loaded and depart in 2 days(according to schedule). So mine still have at least 3 weeks to go. Can't believe the journey to see my MINI is only half way done. :\
