Tracking info for the Daedalus Leader shows it hitting the Panama Canal around the 22nd at 1300 (assuming they mean Z and not local time). the Canal web-cams are great, hope to see it pass through in a few days.

My MCS was ordered 1/7/12. Rolled off the assembly line yesterday 1/20/12. I have been clicking refresh on the ww tracking site with increasing frequency now bordering on OCD. A ship leaves tomorrow for NY and I suspect I am overly optimistic to think it will sneak on board. Which means one more week to wait.

Any one have any idea with how long it takes to go thru the distribution center?

**pout pout**
I ordered on the same day but mine isn't expected to go into production until the first week of February :(
I'll be where you are in about three weeks and until then I'm major OCD'ing and checking to see if it goes in sooner.

I just got the same update yesterday that my mini is "awaiting transport." Who knows? Our cars just might be bunk buddies

Holy smokes my mini has snuck onto Tortugas and departs today!!! Due into port 2/1/12.

Mini has been a model of efficiency. I am Very impressed and excited...

Ordered 1/7 production number 1/9 done with production 1/20 loaded on ship 1/22

Cricketine .... Not trying to rub it in I'm just too damn excited. If it makes you feel better I have been trying to get a mini sense thanksgiving but was yanked around for a very painfully month by my MA. I was so dissatisfied I almost brought a Ford. But On a last ditch effort I went to a different dealer. The process this time has almost made up for it. Hang in there.

How long does it usually take to process cars at the NY VDC and dealer?

I think this depends on if there was any damage to your MINI during transport. In my case, the boat docked on a Thursday and was at the dealer in Peabody, MA on Monday morning. As they say: YMMV but hope for the best

Hey KirkSwim

Waiting for the Tortugas to come back online as it crosses the atlantic too.

Reading your story about dealers seems to fit that all dealerships are not created equal. I wish there were more accountablity for them to the brand!

Our Daedalus Leader is in the Pacific steaming its way up north to Port Hueneme. Port Hueneme shows it arriving on the 2nd while another site showed it arriving on the 4th. The DL is hard to track...but our MINI's are getting closer each day

So today I told myself not to check OL to see if Mini Z had moved on from "on order". Yeah, THAT lasted about 2 minutes. I clicked on "wheres my baby" and squeezed my eyes shut and waited about 10 seconds after the music quit to open them. It says that my car is Scheduled for Production!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually squeal screamed.

Go Mini, Go Mini, Go Mini!

Yes, it tracks when coming into Halifax and then leaving again. It stops tracking until it comes back into the NYC area and docks in NJ.

The Turandot docked this morning!!! Now I'm just waiting for my MCS to get to the dealer!!!!
