I was on the Glorious Leader back in late November (there sure are lots of "Leaders" out there!) and I could NEVER see the "voyage". that seems to be broken. If it's booked on Aphrodite, trust that your MINI is on it. Exciting!

According to the Port Hueneme schedule the Daedalus Leader is slated to now arrive on February 1st! Although tracking it is virtually impossible as some sites show her still in the Caribbean and others show her just outside the Panama Canal in the Pacific. ARGH!!!!

It's almost here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So my question is; is there a Port Hueneme cam that one can watch as the Daedalus Leader pulls in to port? I seem to recall seeing one posted here but can't find it.

 

grips03 and all fellow Turandot travelers, my car arrived in NY on Thursday with all you other great rides and then arrived at the dealer on Friday!!! Of course I was attending a conference Friday through Sunday in NYC and playing tag with my MA with regard to getting the accessories all lined up. Spoke with her this am and will be picking up tomorrow, the 3m on the front delays me a bit. Can't wait!! Will be getting the $500 off as well! Making sure I have everything ready and will be trading my Clubby in (no one wanted it in a private sale :( ). And of course it will snow a bit in the morning and then rain...booooooooooooo . Hee hee, maybe my glee will melt all the doom, but it's gonna get salty right off!

 

Hi b13mini - I got my mini today. They gave me the $500 off (already had $1000 off MSRP), so total was $1500 off. They called it the youification discount. I'm liking the car, but colors are always tough with me. I have WS/B and saw a BRG/B with black bonnet stripes and black rims and it looked really good. Perhaps add black 16 inch rims and bonnets stripes down the road.

I just added the Proclip iPhone mount and holder - needed the one with the hidden glove box. Also added the Craven Speed Flexpod fixie for the Garmin.

Speaking of the GPS, does someone know how to remove the silver dash cover thing near the tach, I would like to hide the GPS power cord behind it?

Mine was just scheduled for production today. Will call tomorrow and see if I can get the date. Then it will be a long wait is it travels over here since I am in Phoenix and my Mini gets to take the scenic route.

Woohoo! Picked my car up this morning/early afternoon. I too got almost $1500 of on top of saving on tax on the trade-in, so all ended up working out really well. I am in a car I love and have a lower car payment to boot! Here are a few quick shots at the dealer....

On an unrelated and selfish note....the Daedalus Leader is slowly pulling into Port Hueneme. It's currently about 7 miles our or so and expected to dock around 1230Z (not local)!!!

Sadly, I'm still overseas and my MINI will be beating me back home to the States but for all of us on the DL....It's almost time!!!!! Our babies have arrived!!!

 

Just curious...

I have heard that the information you get about your build from Ask Mini and the Owners Lounge sometimes show different/conflicting information. Who and or how is the information updated in each?

The reason I ask is that Ask Mini knows nothing more about the car after it has left the factory but the OL can tell you if it is On Order, Scheduled for Production, Awaiting Transport, En Route, At Distribution Center, and At Dealer.
Who updates this??

Mini Z is done and on his way to the port of exit....taking the train ride I assume is what that means. So, how do I find out the ship it will be on? I figured out how to track it, just wondering how to find out when it rolls on and which one....
I'm super duper excited!!

 

Anyone know when the next batch is supposed to go into production? I'm waiting for my second mini cooper!

This information will tell you which port your MINI will be shipped to before it is placed on a truck and delivered to your dealer. The Ports of Call for MINI deliveries and their shipping companies are:
-Halifax, Nova Scotia (Port Loc = ?) : WW, ~6 days for transport
-New York City, NY (Port Loc = NYCPOA) : WW, ~8 days for transport (truly based in Jersey City, NJ)
-Charleston, SC (Port Loc = CHSPOA) : WW and K-Line, ~15 days on WW, ~13 days on K-Line
-Brunswick, GA (Port Loc = SSIPOA) : WW, ~17 days for transport (thanks to Bandit for the Loc Code!)
-Manzanillo, a.k.a. Panama Canal (Point of reference only) : WW, ~13 days

Justa sittin' on the dock of the bay watchin' the tide roll away.... I did research that the Heritage Leader and Autostar (?) are expected at Southampton port on 2/4.
Don Pasquale on 2/5 and Torrens, Asian Breeze, and Courage are expected on 2/6.

Not sure if all are auto carriers and not sure how to find out which are going where.

Ordered my MINI Cooper S Hardtop today, 2/4/12!

Got a production number, so the countdown begins. Ice Blue with PB seats, doors, color line , and dash, Cooper stripes, sport suspension, comfort access, H/K sound, and a rash of other helpful stuff. My MA called me "the king of a la carte" since I chose no packages at all (seems like each one contained one thing I really didn't want, even at the reduced cost).

Hoping for early April, at least trying to time it for such!

 

Cricketine on the WW site you can search by ports.. choosing Southampton and your port and see what ships are lined up to go there...click on home, then vessel schedules then select the ports....this is what I found... you did say port Hueneme?
