That is 11 days from Dock to out the dealer here. I am hoping for an even shorter turnaround. Mine is coming in on the Mignon on Thursday. Might get lucky and it will get out on Friday instead of sitting for the weekend. Odds are though that I will have to wait until the 29th. I will at least have the excitement of tracking the process through WW while at the port. Then another wait......

Congrats to everyone who got their mini from the Torrens stork. I'm also in that group but I'm in NoCal so my MA emailed me last weekend to say mine should be arriving in 10 days. Despite the long wait I'm just happy I can use my motor tober coupon!

 

Comet still hasn't come.

It is in transit I guess.

I am happy for those that got their cars . But a little jealous too.
Sorry you will all have to forgive me. It has been 2 months or over 8 weeks. However you want to measure it.

 

It's fun reading about all the MINI's that have arrived at their new home...mine is getting closer and closer. My little guy has just been built and hopefully cruising on boat soon. My MA (I'm military sales) says it will go to Bremerhaven first then sail from there to Port Hueneme (it's a JCW Cabrio) - seems odd to me. Happy MINI Christmas to all and enjoy!!

 

I think its time to say goodbye to this thread, hang in there guys. Also once you get your car you'll have wait again till the engine break in period is over, :P.

Totally could be on the ship already. Plug the last numbers of your VIN into the Cargo ID to the Wallenius Wihelmsen Track and Trace page:

Ours docked in NJ on a Thursday (2 weeks ago) off the "Glorious Leader". I had the same thought that it would sit over the weekend but was surprised to hear from my MA on Monday morning that it was at the dealer. Keep the hope alive brother!

Status code 150 "Production started" maybe i'll make a ship before new years?

 

I'm no expert but that might be wishful thinking. My MA said it took about 2 weeks for the build to occur. We ordered ours on 10/31 (halloween!) and the car was built on 11/15. YBMV (your build may vary) and I'm hopin' for ya but from what I hear they build 700 of these per day worldwide and, while that sounds like a lot, there's apparently a lot that goes into the staging process that takes time.

Also, you should look at the schedule of ships that leave Southamptom on K-Line and WW. Even if it was built tomorrow, the shipping schedule will determine when your MINI starts sailing west.

My time line:
11/23 - order
12/1 - VIR
12/5 - Prod. #/ On order
12/9 - Sched. for production (112)
12/16 - Vin#/ production started (150)

The email I recived today from my MA had 12/14 date on the status update so it seems that OL, ask MINi and MA are both two days behind. Hopefully being busy this weekend will help .

I checked out the ships the other day for WWL to NY from germany(getting an ALL4). I know I won't make 12/21 but there is one 12/30 and then 1/11.

 

Anybody else tracking the Tristan? My MINI is on board and the boat seems to have stopped in the middle of the Atlantic. Hopefully tracking just stopped. I'd really loke to have a new JCW for xmas.
