For all those that use marinetraffic.com, you can set it up to send you email updates when your ship comes in range or goes out of range.

 

...and for the extreme OCD in you (and me) they also have an iPhone app that works VERY well. Not sure about Android but I would assume so.

 

Poor Jack is hanging out at the dealership until the certificate of origin comes in. It's required for me to register the car. My MA has checked twice so far for it today, and it isn't in yet. :'(

 

I picked up Comet last night. I love my car. It looks awesome. I forgot to bring a camera so I didn't get pictures. It was snowing so it got covered with snow and dirt on the drive home. So once it is cleaned I will get pictures.

your MINI isn't scheduled for a boat yet. I had to wait a couple days after the build phase for Hobbes to get scheduled for a ship.

Patience, young grasshopper. Check in a day or so.

 

By the way, you can put in partial VINs to get a listing of all the cars who have bookings in that general range. I put in WMWZB3C55CWM02, leaving off the last 3 digits and got a list of a bunch of cars (MINIs I assume) that have scheduled sailings. I don't know if they're done sequentially (probably not) but your MINI is still on shore.

 

And don't forget your Mini might not be on the WW shipping line (unless you were told) and may be scheduled to come over on a K-line ship. If that is the case you won't be able to track it like you can through WW unfortunately.

The only info my MA could tell me was that my car was scheduled to arrive in Baltimore. No shipping line, no date, no nothing. I took that info and figured out the likely date it would ship from when it arrived at the docks and managed to track it through WW. It took a few days from the time it arrived in Southampton to when my VIN showed up on the WW site as booked.

 

As some have stated, this only works if you are on a WW ship. And even then, it may not work at all. My Mini came over on a WW ship, and never showed up on their tracking page. Your MA can probably tell you what ship you are on, and then you can use other tools to track the ship.

I had to wait for the certificate of origin to come in. It came in late yesterday afternoon. The soonest appointment available is Thursday. :(

Stroked a check for my new '12 Crystal Silver CMS this afternoon, got the call a little while ago that they're done detailing it, heading back in a little while to pick it up!!!! Very excited but, Damn the rain!!!

 

Called ask mini yesterday and was dissappointed to hear Estimated completion date of 01/09/12, but MA emailed me today with
"Status:
151 - Entry Body Shop/serial # Assgn
Car should be complete by end of the week"

really don't know what to think, but I'm not holding my breath

For some reason I thought this thread was for a buddy support group for car repair / knowledge, etc. But then I started to read the posts. Amazing that folks know how to track ships, etc. All very cool. I placed order on 12/12/2011, so I think about 8 weeks and car should be here in CT, at least I hope I check the ol.miniusa.com website, a couple times a day, still scheduled for production. I'm sure its been said a million times, but so many of these cars look awesome, so as you get your car in, keep posting pics.

hey Terminal, was looking on the WW website and the ETA has changed from 12/23 to 12/27. This could definetly imped me getting my car by New Years. How far does yours have to go from Baltimore?

 

Did you get a dealer production slot (a car already ordered by the dealer for inventory that is changed to your specs)? If so, it shouldn't take eight weeks to CT. Mine took 7 weeks to CA and the boat ride is almost two weeks longer to CA than the east coast.
