Status on our CMS's changed to "In-Transit" this morning so I'm assuming they loaded on MV Florida Highway out of Bremerhaven on 12/30 scheduled to dock in Brunswick 1/11. Anyone else cruising with us?

I figured out which ship (Mignon) mine was on and "stalked" it via AIS accross the Atlantic and through the Panama Canal. I even got a screen print of it going through the locks from their web cam and knew nearly real time when it docked. Then I lost track until my MA found out when the truck was coming in. That wait was pretty hard, but it is all SMILES now with my Lightning Blue Coupe.

 

I just checked with Mini they said that my car is awaiting transport to the dock that it ships from. Does anyone know how long it takes from that stage? I'm so obsessed!!!!! Hahahah I feel like a crazy. This is just a car isn't it?!?!? Hahah ok NO, no it isn't!

Does anyone know how long it takes once they are awaiting transport? Time in "awaiting transport and the. How LNG does it take to make it to Baltimore"? Please help!

It depends on two factors from what I can tell: how many other cars are ahead of yours (which you can't know) and also what the sailing schedule is, which you CAN know. According to: http://sagaweb.2wglobal.com/AppSchedules/portList.do

there are ships sailing on the 5th, 6th, 16th, and 19th.

you can tell if your car is booked on a ship.

 

I went to the site that you listed and I didn't see a spot that asked for the VIN. It asks for several things and I have no idea what any of them are haha. I'm a first timer. I Have a vin that I got from theowners lounge that i figure has been assigned to my arxince it built on the 29th of dec. as well as my production number that I received from the dealership when I put down my deposit. THE PAIN..... THE HORROR...... THE WATING!!!!! Haha

 

Put it in the "Cargo ID" field. if it doesn't come up with a result then your MINI doesn't have a booking yet. Also note you can put in a partial VIN. Try leaving out the last 2 or 3 digits and you can see how many cars are booked on which ships.

 

Man, I wish we Canadians could track the progress of our cars like you lucky Americans! All I know my car has been ordered. Go fish where it actually is right now... is it March yet??

 

I see VINs 16 away from mine loaded. So perhaps any day now.

It just got off the Platinum ray with about 150 other minis. The Mini Lounge even updated the same day saying it is at the VDC. Lets hope it goes fast!

I ordered beginning of NOV and it went into production DEC. 14.

 

The website says the same (entering production). Yesterday the auto ASK MINI says still in paint shop with completion the 3rd (that's a lot of paint!!!) and the person said entering assembly....I'm sort of confused.

Ok just called again today, ol and auto still say the same, but the live person (Rachael) said had a production date of 1/3/12 (finished production) and is on it's way to the carrier with a load assignment! Hurrah!!!

I can feel your pain! I was also told March at the latest!!! While eventually I will have a production date to sort of go by, I have nothing right now other than "on order"...

I have never wanted anything more than I want this car right now! I think it has to do with the wait! Ugh it's Killing Me!!!

b13mini - on OL website it shows scheduled for production, but 866 ask mini has it as awaiting transport. Seems like most in CT get them in 6 weeks or so, my guess is 3 more weeks from today.

From the 2wglobal.com site I see ship (DON JUAN) from Southhampton 1/8 to New York 1/18. Then add a week for transport / VDC.

I assume car to CT, would use New York vs. Baltimore

Yes we should both go through NYCPOA and that should show as the port on your spec order sheet, unless you did not get this from your MA.
I hope we make the next ship, but could be the ship after. Will have to keep stalking, nothing showing on WW site yet for my VIN.

3 weeks sounds about right, then I will be in NYC for a conference, I will prolly pass my car!

Maybe I can pick it up on Groundhog's Day, that would be sweet!
