Week 3 (1/11-1/17/09) Support Group

Woohoo! Just got off the phone with 1-866-ASK-MINI.

My vehicle is in production now and is scheduled for completion on 1/14/09. Oooh I'm getting excited.

After production, it looks like we'll be waiting on the dock until the 24th to board the Turandot. Turandot arrives in Port Hueneme on 2/15. Then it won't be long after that!

Hey neighbor - congrats on moving to production! Thanks for the link with the shipping schedule too.

1-866-ASK-MINI just told me my Clubman is awaiting transport (all they knew up until today was "it's in the paintshop" ever since the factory closed for the holidays). Technically, I'm a Week 2-er, but I haven't see anyone else on NAM with a production date this week. Crossing my fingers that my car gets on the Isolde

I just found out this week that my MC is in production also. Today it is in the body shop! It started on Saturday and is expected to be completed on 1/8.

My husband placed the order on 12/4...I wasn't expecting it to be in production until next week. This is very exciting!

Aloha everyone. Just found out our clubman is also in production and scheduled to be finished on 14 January. We're in Hawaii, so I guess it's probably onto the Turandot to Port Hueneme and then it will have try to thumb a ride to Honolulu. Not sure how that all works but it's got to take a long time. He or she is a simple pw/pw/b manual transmission clubman with steaming hot chocolate interior for our cold Hawaii winters and the cute little stock 15" wheels.

timubik, I'm right with you, supposed to be completed today! but I havent seen anyone with this production week either. I really hope we make it on the Isolde too, the wait is killing me, I ordered mine 11/18. But I'm on the east coast so we might be on different boats.
either way Im glad there are finally some other people with 2009 production dates!!

Yeah us!!

Aloha Tempo House!

09BlackJCW, I LIKE your color! You might be the first one in the states to get a midnight black. The others who have posted in NAM are in Europe.

Congrats to Timubik and CooperDreams. Be sure to let us know which boat you'll be on. You can check at the link below using your VIN number. Although the page seems to have changed since the last time I used it, but I'm sure it works. https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage

Kewlby, thanks for the heads up I just called ASK-MINI. They could not give me a completion date but they said I enterted production today and gave me a VIN number.

Lets hope I can hitch a ride on the Turandot

So the "week" is the week of entering production. Did your owner's lounge info get updated soon after ASK-MINI people told you that you are in production?

I'm still in "order" stage, but color and option list are already there, even though it was actually ordered this week.

The production week is technically when the vehicle finishes production. However, it's a loose term because with my first MINI, it entered production on its "production week". Clear as mud right?

The owner's lounge lags in providing production updates. If you have a production number, don't hesitate to call 1-866 ASK MINI. Some people call multiple times in a week and are on a first name basis with the customer relations reps.

I know I'll eventually crack and call them, but might as well be reasonable and wait at least a week or two :D

Well, I'm scheduled for production, can see my VIN and all. The funny thing is that the order was submitted in the afternoon of Jan 7th. Jan 8th the color became correct, and Jan 9th the options showed up.

So I guess I'm officially week 3 now.

I found out that I can get real time vessel positions on my iPhone using mobile.vesseltracker.com (the Google Earth version is 24 hours behind) - The Isolde just left Southampton a couple hours ago. I get no records found when I search for Cargo ID = my VIN on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen site (my ASK-MINI status is "being transported to port of exit"). I sent an email to my MA to find out if my Clubman did make it on this ship - otherwise I'll have time to add another $500 to my down payment . . .

This reminds me of my obsessive compulsive disorder with my first order. Check out this thread. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...long-wait.html

I would say you should have been in this months build unless your selling dealer already had it allocation ordered prior to the factory closing for December are you in a larger city where there may have been a backlog of orders at your dealer ??? - ASK MINI will help - Best of Luck - Mark

Woohoo! Miniusa shows my car "Scheduled for Production." Now shows the VIN and Options. Actually it's my daughter's Mini but I'm looking forward to driving it too. I told her I'll switch when she wants and she can use my Audi A4 convertible.
I hadn't called to check status yet. Was just checking at the owners lounge. She ordered her MC on 12-26. I'm kind of surprised to see it scheduled for production so soon since many have reported that the web site is often slow to update.

Factory was stopped for almost a month, so it makes sense, especially if people got pre-allocated slots.

I think my dealer bumped me up by giving my car one of their own allocated slots for cars they were getting in for inventory stock. And I would guess that a higher volume dealer gets more slots a month than a mid-volume dealer, etc. Just guessing.

kewlby thanx! I like your color too! I cannot wait to see it in person, that would be great if I was the first one in the states to have it

timubik, ASK-MINI also says that I'm "being transported to port of exit" I emailed my MA and I'm still waiting to hear back from him. Did u ever find out if you made it on the Isolde?
