Not a stupid question. You'll usually see it here http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/ when it's on a ship or just about when it's ready to board. Which VCD (vehicle distribution center) will you MINI go to before it reaches your dealer?

Lucky dawg! You're probably going to be on the Mignon, departing 1/20, arriving at the VCD on 1/29. http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSche...pe=generatePDF

Post pic when you pick it up.

I would imagine that your vehicle would be transported yesterday or within a day or so to the port in Southampton. Upon arrival at port WW Shipping Line should add your VIN to it's Tracking site. Google "Track my Mini" and follow the North American Motoring link. It will have the needed information to continue your search. Once the Ship sails you'll have to wait until it nears it's first port to be able to track further. I haven't be able to track across the Atlantic. Happy motoring - Mark

YMMV - my Mini didn't appear on the WW site until 4 days after the ship it's on sailed Seriously - it shows vessel departure date of 10 Jan from Southampton and loaded on vessel date of 13 Jan. That was right after the factory came back online though, so they may be more prompt with the paperwork now.

I know it's winter and all but my first mod will be to get my windows tinted. The ceramic tint makes a huge difference in temperature in the car. Here in CA it's already feeling like spring.
Your car will probably be at the Panama Canal by the time I take delivery, but I'll be happy to post some pics when it arrives.

Which shop is doing your tint? I've seen good things about these guys from other NAM'ers: http://autoimagetint.com/ Thanks, Tim

approx. 6 to7 days after production is complete. That's how mine worked then, they booked it on the ship and the day after booking it was loaded on the ship. Hope that helps. Excited

From reading these posts it would appear each individual vehicle may be inconsistant with respect to production & shipping. I would suggest again to call 866-ASK-MINI to determine precisely where your vehicle is in prroduction. - Mark

Heh. I'm about to order mine too.

And I think I've been convinced one of those glovebox organizers is a good idea.

You lucky dog! Mine was also "born" on the 17th, but it's not showing on the Mignon... Candygrams for Mr. Mongo, but no filets. :(

Mongo, your config is very similar to mine :D

I'm surprised you are not showing as booked yet. Mine finished building on the 16th, but only showed as booked today. It's not even loaded yet - hope they don't forget it on the pier...

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I fear my Clubman may miss the boat... I've done a search on WW for Mini VINs, and I think I see your Clubman (I assume it's one of the one's that is "received at terminal." Here's hoping yours makes it on the boat!

Little gem I found for us West Coasters...
Seems like WW has yet another ship scheduled for Port Hueneme, and _earlier_ than Fedora (isn't that some Linux distro??? Thankfully ship is not called Vista )

PACIFIC BREEZE 0066-PAB SOUTHAMPTON 24-01-2009 PORT HUENEME, CA 18-02-2009

Right now it is surely loading VWs (docked somewhere by Emden...)
http://www.shipais.com/showship.php?...mmsi=564993000

Could it be that my wheels will _FINALLY_ make it all the way to my garage???
(MC Clubman S... ordered August 12th '08... Prod # Nov. 25th, Build Week #3... )

Wow I hope your right and we get on it, where did you find the info ?

Now I would be really happy if the ship was named Leopard or Snow Leopard

You poor son of a biscuit. Ordered in August, and just missed the December closing of the plant. That is such a total bummer!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I want my car, but I haven't been waiting since August.

How do you end up ordering in Aug. and getting built 4 months later? Some special ordered baby-seal skin interior?
