Week 3 (1/11-1/17/09) Support Group
Kewlby, Ours in on the "Talia" but arriving on Thursday the 29th I am doubting delivery this week as I'm not sure on transport time from Brunswick, GA to Tampa, FL I'll be sure to post pics the day of delivery. - Mark
Mignon people - can you check your tracking on http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/ ?
From what I'm seeing with my VIN is either Mignon came back to Southampton yesterday or they marked my car as Loaded on Vessel, but actually forgot. Either way it looks like I'll get re-loaded on Otello with subsequent 10-day delay. Bummer.

My screen shows the Mignon returning to SH on the 25th and has a new depart date of 28th and arrival in NY of 6FEB09. So it looks like they returned and it sliped 6-7 days.
Sucks. Wonder what happened???
JL
Is that your MINI that was "DISCHARGED" from the Mignon when it returned to Southampton?
Mine doesn't say anything about being discharged. It says is sailed from South Hampton on 21FEB09 and returned to South Hampton on 25FEB09 and will depart again on 28FEB09.
My guess is that it was a mechanical issue, but that Pirate idea was pretty cool.

That's the one I saw. I've been using a wildcard search to keep tabs on vehicles with similar VINs to mine... If I can't find my car on a vessel yet, I can live vicariously through the rest of you.
Mongo, when you do your wildcard searches, make sure you wildcard the checksum digit, too, not just last 5 of the VIN, otherwise you'll only see 10% of results.
n8gnu, so you car just had a nice cruise around Atlantic for 5 extra days and will go back to NYC without being unloaded? That really doesn't make sense unless WW is planning to skip Brunswick, GA port for the Mignon voyage.

oldchicago,
Your newbie and mine are both on Talia. I just checked and its still moored in Baltimore today. Talia is supposed to be in Charleston tomorrow and Brunswick Thursday. Hope the weather does not slow it down. I'm guessing they load from the distribution center on to the transport trucks fairly quickly? I'm assuming it will hit the east coast of Florida first; then on to you?
We are getting closer!

MCCSAB...
Check the following link out...

When I checked Talia was on her way at 14knts to Charleston =)
She's about 3 hours away from Virginia Beach around should be in Charleston in just about 24h...
This site should pretty much let you plot her course all the way to Brunswick

MCCSAB,
From what I understood from my dealer, my vehicle was built from the 12/5 allocation even though I ordered on 1/2, so the rest of the purchases and
allocation units get shipped together to the dealer. They use an enclosed transport that holds 8 vehicles from what I'm told but that doesn't seem cost effective but I saw one of the trucks photos here on NAM and it held 8 vehicles so it may be right ? I also heard that sold units get priority transport
so we may get them quicker. Due to my office schedule even if it gets to dealer in the beginning of the week I won't be able to Pickup till the weekend.
Post pics or your delivery when you get it, I'll do the same - Mark
To Locate "TALIA" type C6VJ6 in the google search box and scoll down to TALIA - 9311854 - Vessel's Details and Current Position on the Marinetraffic site. more up to date than the other sites - Mark

drchris32 and oldchicago,
Thanks for the links - both are great!
As if waiting 2+ months already is not enough pain and suffering, I am leaving this Thursday for Jacksonville, driving up from Hollywood
I cannot believe it; it looks like I will miss getting my car by 1 or 2 days!
I just keep telling myself that everything happens for a reason......

oldchicago,
Thanks for the update. Yes, I noticed that it was not showing up on any of the maps? How did you find out it docked in Charleston?
That's a relief, with my luck I thought the sucker was drifting somewhere off the coast of Virgina

mccsab,
I found it by checking the Charleston S.C. Ports website, found a link showing the vessel was docked and the applicable times. I also located a webcam in the harbor and was able to point the camera at the bridge near Union Pier where "Talia" is Docked. Saw it clear as day during the daylight hours. Can still make out the upper pilot house at night but you'll need to know what your looking for. Brunswick tomorrow and at our repected dealers
soon.
