Mine came in through Frankfurt. I had to go to Wiesbaden today anyway, so I snuck over to the German dealership to have a look see. She was right there, I got to touch her and everything. My MA said I should have her by Thursday, she gets detailed and prepped for delivery Monday

At least yours is in country, are you looking at a similar timeline?

 

I don't even know if it is in country yet but if yours is here than mine should be too.

 

I'm thinkin so...... On your order sheet that your MA can look at, if it gives you a code 182, it means that it's at least in country. That's how I knew mine was here Wednesday, it was just luck that she happened to be at the German dealership today when I went by. Best of luck

 

Apparently my MA got a new password for the system and can't log in... I will bug the crap out them Monday after I pick up my plates in Mannheim.

 

After reviewing shipping schedules for both WW and K-Line over the next month it looks like the earliest docking on the West Coast of the US for MINI's that haven't left Southampton port are as follows:

WW/ARC
The TRAVIATA
- Leaves SOUTHAMPTON - Dec 15th 2008
- Arrives PORT HUENEME, CA. - Jan 4th 2009
The TORONTO
- Leaves SOUTHAMPTON - Dec 23rd 2008
- Arrives PORT HUENEME, CA. - Jan 13th 2009
- Arrives TACOMA, WA. - Jan 18th 2009

K-Line
- I can't find any K-Line ships going to the West Coast of the US in the next month. But then again I may be reading the schedule wrong or just haven't found the correct schedule spread sheet, though I found many and all resulted in the same thing, nothing. (EDIT: Noticed all K-Line schedules haven't been updated since Dec 3rd...)


If anyone has anymore links or knowledge on ship movement to the West Coast of the US please post up. If not I'm going to assume my research is accurate and not expect to get my MINI until mid-January or later...

Does anyone else get tracking info on the WW site for that voyage?

If so do you know the date yours was finished? Mine was finished on Friday AM.

Furthermore anyone happen to have one on that boat headed to Mini Peabody or the other dealer in Boston?

Just got word that my MCS is on the Maersk Wind. According to the schedule, the Maersk Wind is leaving Southampton on 12/9 and arriving in New York on 12/18. Just in time for Christmas!

 

Yup. I'm on it now too. Looks like they received it on the 5th -1 day after build complete.

I just looked it up on Vesseltracker.com Looks like it just left port for Southhampton- about 160Mi out. So on the boat tomorrow!

 

Apparently they got new passwords and are content that they don't work...

I board the Trivata for departure on the 15th!!! Arrival in CA on 1/5.

 

My drama update.. So My MA didn't have any info where the car was so I put my Dr Watson hat on and picked up a magnifying glass. The outcome, I found my MINI! Donkey is presently in Reidstadt at the Haas trucking company waiting for BMW to request him! After countless calls today I located him and then called the dealer. My MA has been locked out of the computer program because of a password change and sat contently on his thumbs.. I called them and asked if there was an update and the cheerfull voice replied, "it is now at the dealer" "Oh no it is not" I replied.. the shocked stumbling of words began to pour out asking how I knew this..
I told them that since there was a lack of communication on their part I tracked down the car and was happy to share the location.
On the side I had already contacted the responsable parties at BMW to request the car for delivery and got that ball in motion.

I just go an email in From the MA after I did this all:

Hi David,

have a up date for you!! Your Mini Cooper has now been requested to be brought forward for prep at the Mannheim BMW dealership. We also have the bill of sale for your Mini Cooper. Once your Mini cooper is ready for delivery I will be back in touch on when and what time we can deliver your Mini Cooper. Nearly there David!!
