Being an optimist, it's quite difficult to dash my hopes!

 

I just spoke with my MA and my clubman is here and will be ready for pickup at 10am tomorrow. Any other left coasters taking delivery yet?

 

The OL status updated for me too and the delivery date is 8/17!, this Sunday the roads around here are going to be motored... a LOT!

Drove by the dealership...

Saw CamRun sitting there, being all handsome.

As I drove by my MA gave me a ring and said that I can up the car tomorrow... at 12:30.

I guess they have a mess of other MINIs all lined up before CamRun to have the final Dealership check out and install of stuff.

I'm going to be there early in order to snap a handful of pictures while waiting for my appointment.

Roughly 22 and a half hours before I am out motoring...

 

ol.miniusa said that my MINI should be at the dealership by 08.18.08!!! WOOHOO!!!

On an interesting note, my MINI came with options I never ordered or paid for. Very cool.

what are the options, and are you sure you didn't pay for them? I just checked mine sheet since I thought I wasn't charged for my iphone cradle but sure enough there was a difference between the price on the window sheet and the invoice sheet

Picked up today. My MINI was everything I hoped for, and looks very badass for a justaCooper. The AB goes so well with the tan leather and english oak. And the NAV just brings the whole interior together.

Had a nice 120 mile drive home from the dealership to really enjoy it.

One thing I did notice is that the speedo is wildly optimistic. I would say +6-7 miles at most speeds.

Again OL changed on me today from a 17th delivery to an 18th. Based on the experience from those who have taken delivery, is the delivery date on OL for the dealer or the motorist.

Just spoke to another member whose OL showed 8/16, and his MA called him and told him that it arrived yesterday 8/14

 

I am scheduled to be there at 10am to pick up CamRun...

EDIT: I was also having the most amazing dreams last night. Dreams that I was rushing through curves at unreasonably high speeds in my MINI... It was a blast!

 

I didn't pay extra for any of my new options... I made sure of that.

FYI, the OL date is when the vehicle arrives at the dealer, not when you can pick it up.

 

So which "free" options did you get?

 

Thanks....6/11 seems like a decade ago. Thank God for NAM and the great group of 29ers to help me keep my sanity.

The reason I say they were "free" is because I did not order them with the vehicle online or at the dealer... maybe they just put them on the vehicle regardless and they just charge the folks who ask for them. Who knows?
-chrome muffler tip
-fog lamps
-floor mats
-there were a couple other things that I can't remember off hand

Again, all of these things come at a cost if you specify them online, so I'll chalk them up as free.

 

nice. the chrome muffler tips are not standard, front fog lights are standard, back ones are not, mats are usually given by the dealer free, but I d assume you have to ask in some cases.

These last days have been gruelling. My OL still has not been updated. The WW website shows the ship discharged my car yesterday at six am so the Don Juan has left to its next destination. Hopefully by the time I get an update, my car will be on its way to Miami . Wishful thinking but I am an optimist. In the meantime I am going to the beach to relax with my gf. We rented at the beach for the weekend. Hope it doesn't rain.

Congrats on our 50% mark. It would be great if they could load them all on a big airplane and airdrop them to your driveway. If I was a billionaire, that would be how I would do it. LOL
