OK, Here are pics before any mods. I am only planning on two. Cal. legal tinted windows and sunroof and black JCW grill. BTW this is what SS/SS looks like. The wax is so fresh the sun reflection makes it look almost white. But I like the roof in body color look. Am very pleased.

Also, note the gotham grey door panel pic. I added this because there are alot of questions on many threads as to what it looks like. Well, here it is. Its in the rear panels as well and the same grey as headliner and and interior post. The result is everything ties in together nicely as one unified color theme and the lighter color makes interior feel huge IMO. I am very happy with it.

Also for those who got bluetooth, there is an added bonus if you didn't know. You can plug a jump drive with downloaded MP3's directly into USB without IPOD and it displays your playlist on the dash. Very Cool. Downloaded Led Zeppelin Kashmir and enjoyed my first cruise.

Picked up yesterday, went very smooth. Gave MA my PenFed check for balance owed and signed alot of paperwork. Got the spiel from finance manager about all the different warranties etc. and declined all but I am considering extended maint. for $1395. Is anyone in week 29 getting extended Maint?

No extra from the Fm for me either. I will look at the third party warranties when the time comes.

 

I'm getting the grill from one of the NAM vendors called outmotoring.
The grill looks like this http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...rill_trim.html. I didn't post the front pic but as you know it being non-s it has a chrome grill which looks good but would look even better in the same black as the lower grill, especially with SS and all the other black trim.

Plus, its only 55 bucks so if I don't like it I'll switch back. They say its like a five minute installation time.

Even though the OL says estimated delivery of 8/17 for mine, my MA told me today that it is still at the port and is not on a truck yet :(. Hopefully very soon!

 

Took delivery this afternoon and have had the greatest time motoring. We have racked up 100 miles already. Since we got an automatic, it took me a while to get adjusted to the throttle. But after about 20 miles, I found the sweet spot where I could get the MINI to hum like a motorbike :P Attached are a few pictures. Will upload more over the week as we get him familiar with Seattle's curvy roads.

I just happen to like the chrome edge with SS but for Astro Black like yours I'd want all black as well.

That is strange. OL updates when your MINI has been released to a carrier.

Are you close to the dealer? No anyone who is an could go peak?

I have now put about 180 Miles onto CamRun.

I have also figured out the issue with the cruise control. It just operates very differently than I believed that it would. For some reason, I turn it on, then hit the "set" button, but it won't activate unless I start fiddling with the Increase/Decrease speed buttons to set the speed.

Beyond that, the car is awesome fun.

That's not a "set" button, it's an on/off button. The "+" button "sets" the speed.

I'm confused too believe me. I'm not close, they are about 35 miles away. OL still says at distribution center, not at your dealer. Est. delivery still shows 8/17
