We are doing a charity (MD) run tomorrow. Just broke 2100 miles and she has been the garage just over a month.
It is fun to meet other MINI Owners from your area. When we did our rally, we all had walkie talkies and there were 12 MINIs involved at different aspects of the run.
Here is a link to some pics.

Living in AZ, I knew I would get it, and I got LOTS. 110 degree days will do that . If it stains permanently, I'll have the dealer replace.

I have had the cosmoline leaking out since the first week and even asked the dealer about it, he just told me what it was, not to "get it off as soon as you see it b/c it stains!!!"
needless to say, I washed and waxed my MINI two weeks ago and couldn't come close to getting that stain to come out.
Do you really think they'll replace the stained parts? the rubber/plastic parts around just above the wheels?

I only have 1,300 miles, but they have been VERY enjoyable! I didn't use the sport button for the first 1,200 miles, so I was in for a BIG surprise when I started using it. I had to start all over getting used to the clutch engagement point all over again, as it seems to engage a little later compared to sport button off. What a rush this car is!

Hi 29ers
Hope all is well with the 29ers. I have about 3200 miles, all is well and I'm lovin' each day w/ my Mini.
As for the snow, I do plan to drive mine through the winter .... but I'm looking forward to seeing do well the DSC works in the snow.
I did take out the carpeted mats today and put the rubber mats in. Snow is forecasted!!

Hey fellow 29ers. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkahh or Happy Kwanzaa. Hope each and everyone of you is having a wonderful holiday season.
All is well with Maddie. We completed a Thanksgiving trip to the Wilmington NC area from Chicagoland. Despite leaving in the snow and having rain the entire drive, Maddie did well. I was pleasantly surprised with the cruise set at 70, not once did I have to down shift in the mountains and the engine never bogged down. I got a steady 29.3 mpg. The only minor glitch was my speedo, it seems to be off by about 5 mph from what the gps was saying. I had noticed previously when going through work zone with those radar speed signs, I was always less than what the speedo was saying. The odometer is spot on.
We have been in the teens and twenties for the last few weeks and have about 12 inches of snow on the gorund. Maddie needs a good bath now!

Speedo "Issue"
There is nothing wrong with your speedometer, MINI has this done intentionally for safety concerns, as do a lot of other car manufacturers nowadays. There is a posting somewhere on the forums about this, however I don't have the time to find the link to it at the moment, but it basically went through at explained how the speedo is off by about two or three mph between 35-50, and then by like 5 from 60 on up I think (or something like that).
Glad to hear the trip went well, I drove to DC from Buffalo a few weeks after getting Felix (Club S), and it went real well, handled the mountains like a champ, and I got ~32 mpg's over the course of the trip (still in break in, so I was shifting up and down a lot on the drive, and I had 3 passengers and luggage for 5)!!! :-D

Glad to hear it!
OLE is doing well too. We had snow so far and he did well in it, though earlier this week there was a lot of salt collecting on the body and I was getting a little nervous, but it rained yesterday as well as today and all that crap is gone:D
oh yeah, so far I have around 5500 miles and as of today its been 4 months. thank the lord I didn't lease!;D

4500+ miles and LOVING every inch. The sport button makes for a REAL good time.

The salt won't be removed from the underbody, so be careful to not let it go all winter if its real bad (depending on where you live really, some places use salt, others sand, others yet still a sort of liquid spray).

btw, dare I say, I've yet to use the sport button. but still loving the car

Still here......
I've got 11,750 miles, added a mini do more hitch to attach a bike rack, summer wheels and tires and tinted the windows. all is good....
in the same time that I've had my mini I've gone through 2 cell phones and 1 IPod.. retired and took up white water kayaking
Next mods I'm thinking Alta PSRS or urethane control arm bushings....
