Here's the deal though, in order to flash your fogs, you have to turn on your parking lights, and then reach down to toggle them on/off. A bit too much work IMO. The installation is simple on the hardtop.
maybe its the lack of sleep but could you explain the reason for that pulsar thing. I'm not sure I get the need or use.
a "tech" messed up in installing my sport link and i had to have a new bumper no because of his mistake. a much more knowledgeable tech is installing the sport link this time.
i have an appointment for delivery, today. the fact of the matter is that i had an appointment last week, too. so i am not getting my hopes up this time so i won't be totally crushed when i'm once again denied.

My Travis has been at the dealer in Portland since August 16. Somehow, they didn't schedule the checkerboard installations (mirrorcaps, side scuttles, doorhandles, dashboard) til this week. The driving lights are on but there's a hold-up with the checkered door handles. Back ordered, apparently. I asked my MA when they might have them but no reply yet.
I'm losing patience, honestly. They've known what was to be installed and when my car would be in their hands for quite some time. They should have had the parts ready and scheduled for installation as soon as Travis arrived.
We wait 2-3 months for the car to arrive at the dealer; doesn't it behoove them to keep the final waiting to a minimum?
My MA was switched on me last week when my original MA moved to SF. So I don't really know who's to blame, if anyone.
In the last email, my (new) MA thanked me for my patience, saying that "Sometimes it can take some time with this many installs."
Should I mention that I'm losing patience?

Is it possible to pick up Travis and have a third party install the checkerboard installations.
Your MA is correct...sometimes it does take some time with the dealer options....but that time is 2 to 4 days. Not two weeks.
Keep us posted and breath deeply.
So does anyone have auto on at dusk lights? I am still trying to figure out what package they come in.
The factory did forget to install the correct switching mechanism for my heated/folding mirrors. The techs looked at Maddie and said all the fuses, wires and heating elements are in place.

Don't tell them upfront, but when the survey comes, don't give them 5's....before you actually record the less than perfect score...call the Sales Manager, not your MA and let him/her know you will not be giving them a 5. See what happens then.
I should have mentioned that there are some vinyl graphics that are being installed by a third party down in Portland. But my original MA seems to have assumed that would happen before the dealer installation of checkerboard/driving lamps. Of course, she was the one who was to arrange for the installation in the first place.
When we learned how late the graphics would be (shipped by cooperflags direct to installer), she said that it would not be possible to rearrange the shop schedule to do the checkerboard/lamps first. But that should have been done first anyway, is my thinking.
I don't know..... it does look like I will be able to pick up Travis next Friday. But jeebus, what a wait.
My new MA doesn't seem to have been properly briefed. He asked whether they were paying for the vinyl installation as part of the deal. I said it hadn't been discussed. Should I push for them to pay? If they'd pay for that, and pick me up from the train station like my original MA offered, I'd be okay with the delays. Not thrilled, but okay.
So, my MA just emailed and said:
"OK ... keep your fingers crossed ... 503 should finish the stripes by tomorrow night and one of our technicians has reportedly agreed to stay late on Thursday night to finish the pre-delivery inspection and installations before the Labor Day weekend. Yeah!!! That means that we could do Thursday, Friday, or Saturday next week!"
So, assuming the checkered handles arrive in the next few days, as he suggested in an earlier email, I should have Travis by next Friday.
Fingers crossed, indeed.

I Know you guys were talking ab out stickers with 29 on it to stick on the our minis but what about magnetic badges?
booklady, that sucks but hang in there, one thing i've come to realise is that when they have 3rd party installs, it can play havoc a bit on schedules, perhaps the 3rd party only allows schedules when the car is at the dealer, its something to consider , or to ask your ma.
On a lighter note, my Phillies are beating the Mets!

It sounds like the parts installation happens on site. It's something they should have scheduled to be done as soon as Travis arrived.
If the checkerboard handle wasn't backordered, I'd have Travis for the long weekend.
I did ask my MA whether the dealership might pay for the vinyl installation ($150) to make up for the delay.

Happy topless motoring for Janet
So are we at 100% of the 29ers experiencing motoring?
Anyone have any issues? Other than te factory forgetting to install the right switch plate for my folding mirros, all has been wonderful.

. My car is 100% as ordered, with zero defects, issues, bugs etc... So what was different about the mirror switch plate you had installed? I LOVE the folding mirrors btw. I like how they turn in - then up
. I'm really being impressed with my LSD as well. This thing pulls out of corners like it has claws
. Yeah, maybe it's time we started a week 29 "First impressions" thread, that would be cool.
