How long does the extended maint you were offered last? I decided to go for it so i'm covered up to 100,000 miles. I'm a bit ticked cause I paid a few $$$ more than the $1395 your quoting!

I am strongly considering it, as it covers all oil/air filter changes during that period along with Brake Work. Even if the cost of those tasks isn't QUITE equal to the $1500 that I was quoted, the extra elements that the $1500 will cover will more than make up the difference.

We will be adding the extended maintenance package to the car within the first year.

Anyone considering getting the mud flaps? They give it that distinctive rally car look besides keeping the car clean. Outmotoring has them for lesser than the dealership excluding installation. I was wondering if anyone has heard if it's easy to install it.

Travis arrived in Portland today. My MA says they'll need about a week to get him prepped and vinyled up. Looks like I'll be taking the train down next weekend to fetch him. Tho, my MA won't be there. She's moving to Cali and will be gone before Travis is ready. Awwwwww.

Drats!

998 miles down... Planned a road trip for tomorrow... Went to dinner and came back out to find the Tire Pressure lamp lit. Drove home, just two blocks and found a screw in my tire...

BTW, I didn't get the tire/wheel insurance...

Has anyone purchased the tire/wheel insurance for the run-flat set up?

They said 6yrs./100,000 miles.

I am still considering it. My problem is that I only drive about 12,000 miles a year (@70K in six years) so I'd most likely hit the six years well before the 100K. From what I've read I probably won't need clutch replaced till around 90-95K.

Brake service using high end aftermarket pads is very reasonably priced here in Charleston as well. Had my wifes volvo S-40 with new(not turned) rotors on two wheels and aftermarket pads (better than OEM) done for around $375.00.

If I had caught it before rotors wore out it would be even less.

Having said that it is very enticing to consider no maint. for 6yrs/100k.

Had all the windows tinted today with 30% Johnson all ceramic tint (including sunroof) Blocks 85% of the heat generating UV. I noticed the temperature differance right away. The tint goes perfect with SS and black trim as well.

I'll post pics after Iput the JCW grill on this weekend.

Can run flats be repaired for such damage?

I was told when they offered the insurance that the tire cannot be repaired. Confirmed this on pirelli site. But it is because they don't know how long the tire was driven on after being deflated.

I went through Detailer's Paradise. Wonderful products. My wife's Tribeca never looked so good. I am all practiced up and ready for Maddie.

i ordered from show car detailing. i was thinking i should get the stuff earlier so i could practice on the saturn and maybe my husband's mazda 3 (he didn't seem too excited about me practicing on his car--but he is leaving friday for a week-- hehehehe if he is not in the state, he can't stop me!!!) but it seemed like a jinx to order too early.
