My MA doesn't seem to know any more than the owner's lounge. I am starting to think that is where he is getting his information. I went the other day to see what the status of my mini was and one guy looked it up for me and he told me that it should be crossing the pond. Then I called my MA 2 days ago and he doesn't think it left Southhampton. I am starting to regret purchasing the car from that dealership. All you guys that have MAs that know what they are doing, consider yourselves lucky.
I am hoping he is wrong. I wouldn't make sense if it was ready early and it never made it aboard the Fadora.
OH well. Good luck to everyone. Coming soon to a driveway near you.
My advice would be to contact the sales manager to share your frustrations. Unless his/her boss knows their MA's customers are frustrated, things will never change, and your MA will continue to be useless. Hopefully the manager will be more engaged than your MA is. IMO the folks at the AskMini number are VERY helpful, and will certainly give you more info. than you are getting from your MA.

Note when using the OL to track your Mini and when it is reported to be at the VDC, if you click the details of vehicle (where your VIN is displayed) it will now show an estimated delivery date.

I just checked mine and it finally changed in the OL to at Distribution center. (Ship actually docked 7/31 in Charleston.) The estimated delivery date is 8/5!!!! That's Tuesday!!!! I'm guessing the dealer will still need a few days with all my UJ stuff to add... BUT I'm so excited!!!!!!

So I was thinking about how we are going to identify ourselves as 29ers. I love the badge idea.
Perhaps for the sake of this message board, we could add an identifier to our signature so that down the road when we are all out motoring and not posting here everyday, we can still recognize one another.
Something like 29er or 29-08 or two nine

While I like the idea, I think the odds of my running into another 29'er in Arizona is null. I also don't like any stickers of any kind on my car. For me, I like the idea of a signature badge of some sort

Talked to my MA and scheduled my pickup for Thurs at 7pm. Mine arrived in Charleston on the 31st and should be at the dealer on Tues.

In LA for a business trip, so I can't pick it up any earlier than that.

That's crazy. Just tell her you'll visit sooner IF she turns her AC on

I'm ready for my new "Coop" :)

Here are the accessories I have ready for her already:
- Alta 4" stubby antenna
- Mats
- Glove box organizer
- UV sunshade
- Pulsar third brake light controller
- grocery bag hook
- keychain
- valve stem caps
- Hydro, glass cleaner, and car wash concentrate

That should do it for now

Has everyone decided on how they want their Programmable Options set up?

Some dealers will charge to have the Options re-programmed after delivery.

Are they only able to programed by the dealer? And what is able to be programmed, is there a list of things in the manual or if not, do you know?

I have NAV, so I should be able to program it all myself with little difficulty. I think it is all part of the graphic interface.

On non-NAV cars, I think it has to be done by the dealer.

Nope. Non-Nav cars can be programmed by their owners. See owners manual above
