The OL now says I'm En Route. My VIN doesn't show up on the WW site, so I'm guessing I may be on the Southern Highway headed for Charleston.

Looking at the list and regions it looks as if all 29ers are underway or just coming into port. This is an exciting time. How many people in their travels are saying to themselves....it won't be long before I am driving this road in my MINI

Are you a 29er? The 29ers on the list were the first cars to get a lift across the pond and through the canal heading for the West Coast.

Are you sure? The Aida left on 7/30 headed for Port Hueneme. The next one, the Maersk Wind, doesn't depart until 8/12.

Howdy all. I was just checking around some of the other week groups, and it looks like the East coasters in week 28 are all taking delivery of their MINIS today and tomorrow (for the most part).

That means... in one week, some of us will already be driving our MINIS!!

Sorry left-coasters.

At least the schedule has not changed again. We should hit the canal this weekend and hopefully pass through without delay. I'm thinking she should be at the dealer and ready to drive home no later than Aug 16th.

Got an email from my MA the other day that mine should be arriving in the US today. Then it has to make its way to Texas. Delivery should be 8/11-8/12ish.

Something tells me once you are behind the wheel, you are going to be saying "What wait"?

The added wait must be driving you crazy! Particularly when it has already made stops.

The Turandot is scheduled to arrive at PORT HUENEME, CA on 8/10. Hey! That's just 5 hours from Campbell, CA, no? There must be a few stops along the way... While the dealer will likely know best, I am surprised to hear that it will take a couple of weeks to arrive a the dealership.

Are you getting many dealer installed options? I understand that some require a third party vendor to install (like invisible bras).

I hope that your dealer has over-estimated the amount of time it takes from arrival!

Check posts from previous owners in the Bay area to get deliveries. They may confirm the estimate.

In the meantime, you can track Turandot's progress. It's next stop is in Panama on 8/2 and I understand that there are web cams for the Panama Canel.

Boy, the West Coast sure is a long way away when travelling via ship!

Ouch! It really is unfortunate that some dealers lose their need to be helpful after the paperwork is signed.

While my dealer has been responsive to me, the responses have not shown much interest in meeting my needs post-sale.

It took two months for my car to go into production and during that time I was going batty not knowing what was going on. If all goes well at the VDC, I expect my car will be delivered a week or two after the estimated 10-12 week delivery date. For a Cabrio owner in the Northeast, the loss of a couple weeks of summer top-down driving is a bummer! Not sure if you can relate, being from sunny CA! :-)

I think their sales commission should be based on customer satisfaction at the time of delivery!
