By the way here is a 2008 Manual for R56 with Navigation

 

Based on the info in the manual for the 2008 Mini Cooper S Convertible, these are programmable by the dealer. Because the Cabrio's are based on the previous generation of MINIs, there may be a difference between the Cabrio and hardtops/Clubman's in regards to whether these are user programmable.


Automatic locking if none of the vehicle doors are opened
Automatic locking after starting to drive
Selective central locking system
Convenience operation
Pathway lighting
Daytime running lamps
Speed-dependent windshield wipers
Setting units for outside temperature
Setting units for display temperatures specified for automatic climate control system
Volume control PDC
Acoustic alarm for starting PDC activation

 

I have some bad news. The OL finally got updated and I found out that my Mini has been sitting at the dock since 7/22 and finally got loaded on the "Don Juan" on the 31st. So I should expect it to arrive at Brunswick on Aug 14. Oh well. Looks like I am going to have to wait a couple of more weeks. Thats what I get for ASSumming my car was on the Fedora.

Car should be at the dealer on wednesday. They need a couple days to install the driving lights, and then I can pick it up!

got 4.5% through penfed this morning, check should be here tomorrow afternoon.

I will be getting it 17 days earlier than planned! this is great!

 

Per online, my MINI s estimated delivery is aug 7th, but I think that means when it arrives at the dealer, can anyone shed some light on this. Because once it arrives, it needs to get prepped and have road block put on it.

Wow.....so sorry to hear that. Seems us 29ers have been on four different ships trying to make our way across the pond.

 

that is about right. my car gets to the dealer on wednesday, they say it will take a day or two to get it in the shop and the aux. lamps installed.

 

i am not even going to hazard a guess as to how long any of this might take.
i was already told not to expect it until the last week of august and basically told not to call again. they are busy and will call me. it is really too bad that minis sell themselves, because the dealerships just sit there and treat the customers like something one would find on the bottom of one's shoe and there are basically no repercussions.

 

The Fedora will be at port in Brunswick, GA tomorrow (Tuesday)... is there any hope my MINI makes it to Atlanta to be picked up this weekend? I guess I should take this up with folks from Week 27 or 28, but thought maybe someone knows something on here.

 

Did you hear something regarding a delay of the Turandot ship? I saw in an earlier post that you are in Campbell, CA. I'm in San Jose and on the same boat. I'm wondering what information led you to post the above information. Thanks.

 

The Turandot is due to arrive at Port Hueneme on 8/11. Janet will definitely receive hers before the end of August. I expect to get mine within the next 2 weeks, and I'm in AZ. I was told 5-10 days after it hits the port to get to AZ.

We took delivery of our new baby last night. She rolled off the truck yesterday and we happened to be in town to pick up my wife at the airport and they got her inserviced and cleaned up and we headed home in her! As soon as I get a chance to get some pix posted I'll get them up.

Kiminchrg, I saw your new baby, too. She was right behind Bonnie and I imagine that she'll be ready today!

 

Hi All - I'm somewhat new here. Been hanging out at the All Aboard Southern Highway (departing 7/25/08) thread so far. The OL says I'm en route, and by reading some of the other posts here, I think I may be a week 29er. But how would a know for sure?? I don't want to crash a party I don't belong in...

 

We 29ers are a friendly group and accept all. To find out what week you are, it's generally is based on the week your car went into production. However we have people who started in Week 28 and finished in Week 29, or started in Week 29 and ended in Week 30.
Our diverse group spans four ships. I completed July 16th but sat on the docks for ten days while my 29 brethern as well as 30ers were loaded onto ship and sent on their way.

Okay guys and gals - I think I may have a problem. I know I ordered my MCS without the all-season tires, but the OL description shows my car as having "All-season Tires" option. How would I know for sure? And what can I do about it?
