I have a red MCS on order, with a black roof & black stripes. Added the premium, cold weather, arm rest, Nav, and auto dimming mirror. And now, apparently the all-season tires

Well, I'm not all that tire saavy but with all the rain and snow and ice we get, I really don't think you'll do too bad w/ all season, but like I said, I don't know all that much about tires.

 

My dealer had a JCW coupe in the showroom. I was shocked to see the EPA only 1 MPG less than the regular MCS with MT 25/33. Those figures weren't out when we ordered ours of I would've ordered it most likely. The old JCW version was much worse in economy so it defeated the purpose for me. Not so the new one. Oh well, maybe next time .

I heard back from Tom and he says that he has all the stuff and expects my car to GET THERE ON THURSDAY! I didn't have the heart to tell him that i knew someone had seen my car there. He says he has all the additional stuff ready to go (when it gets there on Thursday?) And I should be able to pick it up Thursday or Friday. Maybe he's just trying to make me real excited that they can get everything done in a day? LOL

 

Congrats to everyone taking delivery! Its only fair that you share pictures to help with our wait...

Its just sinking in how much longer this process takes for us left coasters. We still have 6 more days til we even hit port

 

Why do they do that...lie. I'm wondering about my car, The OL says expected delivery last Sunday the 3rd, the dealer said his system was showing friday the 1st, yet its not on the dealer's lot?????
So I have no idea where my mini is.

 

Just a bump. We really should be driving our MINIs within the next week or two!

 

You guys get the good weather I wish I lived out on the west. But seriously, congrats to everyone for weathering the wait!

The WW cargo tracker says my MINI was discharged to Brunswick from the Fedora at 9:53 PM EST!

Hmm. I assumed that the lightning blue MC, non S, that was in the same row behind ours was yours but I guess I cannot know that for certain, since I don't know your name and don't know who it actually belongs to. There were two rows of cars, 10 or 12 I didn't count them. Ours was the first in line, then there was a Lightning Blue MC, non-S, behind ours that I assumed was yours. But that could have been an incorrect assumption on my behalf. I don't know how many cars they would have been expecting off the Caribbean Highway. I hope I didn't cause any undue distress if indeed I mislead you based on my ignorance. It may have been wishful thinking for me on your behalf .

OL says my car is at the dealer, which means that it is pretty current. What does OL say about yours?

 

No harm The OL says at the dealer. I know Tom has Wed. off... so I'm guessing that's where the confusion is. But no worries here... I'm just so excited.. and it looks like I'll be motoring this weekend. Maybe i'll road trip to Oxford Sunday just for the hell of it!

 

i based my post upon what the sales manager at mountain view told me last week. but she was mad at me for calling, like i said, so maybe that was my bad girl, go sit in the corner punishment.
she said to expect it 3 weeks after the dock date, to arrive at the dealership plus any extra time for prep.

 

It's a fine drive, I'll tell you (except for the washboard stretch on 78 that needs repaving so badly, but even that didn't seem to bother us last night . Glad I didn't mislead you after all then. I bet Tom will call you Thursday for sure!

I purchased mine from Mountain View as well. Not a great experience. I've never (ever) seen such unmotivated car sales people. They simply seem not to care if you purchase or not. The guy I purchased from has at least been responsive to email and even proactive on a question I had regarding the racks for the Clubman (which is a discuss for another thread but they are not available because of "problems"). Anyway, here's hoping we get to pickup our cars late next week sometime...

 

Got them to go through but had to do it via an online photo host rather than uploading directly from my computer. Can't wait to see everyone elses "baby pix".
