All aboard the BOHEME 05/21/2008

I WAS booked on the Falstaff, but I was probably like 1-2 days too late out of production. I just checked WW and it says I'm booked for the Boheme, which departs on the 05/21/2008! It says it will arrive in Port Hueneme by 06/09/2008. This is actually pretty promising, because I graduate on 6/13 and hopefully, the stars will align and I will get to drive my MINI to celebrate!

Anyways, who else's MINI is sitting next to me at the Southampton port?

mine is! I was also in the same situation, silly how it shows up as booked for a ship that either has no room for it or just scoots over and says "seat's taken" before sailing away, makes it hard for me to get excited about the Boheme... though the chances of not making this one are slim, aren't they? XD

haha all right! yea I was a little bit bummed cus I was hoping WW didn't update for being loaded onto Falstaff yet. But the Boheme update sort of gave me 'closure' (couldn't find a better word.

If we had only ordered a day or two earlier!! but anyway, glad to know I'm not alone in this ordeal. For now, all I have is the 200x100 pixel image in my signature. Today, I was driving and a car sped up and cut right in front of me! I wasn't angry about getting cut off because it was a MCS. I was jealous though!

XD closure fits perfectly I think. The ship change was definitely the audible clunk of a door closing. I wasn't ready to give up my hope that the status would change to "loaded" until that point

haha! I totally know what you mean! My town has a bunch of minis and every time I see one my eyes follow it and if I happen to be talking I trail off and have to restart the thought after the mini is out of sight. wantitnow!

Our MINIs have the same birthdate!!! Unfortunately, I can't get any shipping info from ASK-MINI or from the WW website. It doesn't pull anything up when I put my VIN in for tracking. My MINI arrived at the port 5/9, so it may be sitting patiently near yours!

Over the weekend my booking finally changed from the Falstaff to the Boheme. Disapointment set in as I confirmed that I had missed my original boat. So now I'm sitting here on the dock, just waiting for the next boat to show up. It's due into the Southampton port on the 21st where we are all supposed to board and then set sail that same day. I hope we're at least in a covered garage.

Booking Number for Boheme?

CWick, can you post the booking number for the Boheme? There are a few of us in the Week 20 thread that have our fingers crossed for the Boheme.

Thanks,......

Much obliged CWick. Nothing listed after the 9th of May. Good Luck with your Mini travels. I think I will have to wait for the 06Jun2008 Rigoletto departure to Port Hueneme.

Regards,........

I made it!! All aboard the Boheme

Got up this morning, entered the booking number first. I noticed there were 524 records. Yesterday there were 82 records. I click on Auto Cargo, place my VIN# in very carefully and then slowly move the mouse to the Track Button.

........Click,...................BOHEMEan Rhapsody

Fair winds and following seas to all MINIS and their owners.

According to my MA, it will be approx. 21 days, with one week at the VDC in Port Hueneme, and one day at the dealer. If the boat is scheduled to depart on the 21st, then best case scenario is that we can have our cars by 6/19/2008.

BTW, great find...Based on the information, it looks like it is going to Manzanillo, Mexico, and then to Port Hueneme?

Panama!

Manzanillo is in Panama. Your ship will be going through the Panama Canal in order to reach the Pacific Ocean and on up to Port Hueneme.

Here's a webcam of the southampton port district. It would be nice to see the Boheme passing through, however I'm heading to bed now and would have to get up in 4 hours to check it out. Well maybe.....maybe not.
