Yes...I noticed this, too. I was going to track the Boheme with my Kindergarten class...but didn't get around to it right away...then the ship popped up near Alaska and now it seems to have gone missing...kinda glad I didn't invest a lot of class time and energy on it...

Nice thing is that when it *does* reappear...it will be that much closer to us! Love watching those little red dots...

Anyone else notice the hurricane symbol on the map in the Pacific near Central America? Fortunately, it only appears to be a tropical depression which should not affect the arrival of our new Minis. Now let's just hope the Boheme successfully navigates the Bermuda triangle!

So I've seen a few out there, but what have y'all named your baby? My current name is Wubzy (for those of you that have kids ages 4-6, you *might* know where that comes from), but I'll make the final decision when I see her

Approximately 1600 nautical miles from Panama Canal as of 1200 on May 28. The Boheme is traveling at approximately 400 nm per day. That would put us through the canal at noon on June 1, slightly ahead of schedule???

I'm shooting for a pickup date of June 14 at Irvine Mini(very optimistic), but if we get into Port Hueneme one day ahead of schedule then it becomes more realistic.

I will take the Pacific Surfliner down to Irvine with my youngest boy on Saturday to pick up the MCS and then drive back up the coast through Malibu, Santa Barbara, and back in to Morro Bay.

I also hope the cars arrive at our dealers sooner than expected, but according to my MA cars usually remain at the ports for about a week before being transported to the dealers, so a pick-up date of June 18 is probably more realistic . Then again, the MA may not have her story straight. Anyone else heard otherwise?

Pick up?

I heard the cars will spend a week in Port Hueneme, sorting out paperwork, etc., and then travel by truck to the dealership. Once there, it takes another day or so. I think the 18th or 19th sounds more realistic as well.

I've been told two or three different stories regarding timeframe. Best case scenario is since I was close to last on the Boheme, I should be close to first off. If I can't pull it off on the 14th then it'll have to be the 21st.

...What's one more week?

I've heard from my dealer it takes about 5 to 7 days after it gets to the port to be ready to pick up at the dealer, so I'm thinking and hoping for June 21th, 1st day of summer!!

Also if for whatever reason the car has a ding or something that happened on the trip, it will take about a week more for them to fix it.

It's from a suprisingly endearing, but sometimes maniacally enthusiastic kids show called "wow wow wubzy", about a cute little thing who invariably gets into scrapes only to ingeniously wiggle out of them with a sunny smile. It's on NickJr. Since this will most likely be my daughter's car in 8 years (she's 8 now), I figured it's a name that will stick and have some fond memories. Plus, it's fun to say.

My MA says 10 days from port to dealership - like clockwork - and that's delivery to Portland, Oregon. They install the driving lights, stripes and protective film...so I may have to wait a bit longer than that. It's all very close to my birthday so I'll be happy with anytime at the end of June.

Right now we are calling her Pepper (kinda unimaginative considering her color...but it has stuck) and various deviations...sometimes "Peppa" and sometimes "Sgt. Pepper". Peppi was also a contender (she's kinda Peppi LaPew in reverse...and being an "S" she will be peppy). We'll just have to see how it evolves once she's here.

Pretty sure we won't be calling her Alma.

Getting closer!!! It's just off Puerto Rico (I think)...eee

It would be SO very cool if I could pick up my lil' one the weekend of the 14th!!! Not holding my breath or anything, but wow...

Anyone ever heard of sweet talking their dealer into getting it out of the VDC on the early truck? I"ve seen it mentioned in an around the boards...wondering if I should send flowers or cookies or something...!!!
