All aboard the BOHEME 05/21/2008
And the Boheme is off! it's now moving at a speed of 8.3 kts with a destination of MANZANILLO Jun 01, "wherever that is".. left port a few minutes ago... Good luck to us! I'll keep on tracking it and see if we can get a read in the middle of the Atlantic.
this is so cool
Magical Boheme
Does anyone else find it odd that the Boheme was tracked off the coast of Spain/France at 12:00 on May 23rd...but a mere 6 hours later seems to be off the coast of Alaska and heading toward Japan? We have a lot of interesting theories floating around my family...the most disturbing of which is that the captain can't correctly report the ship's latitude and longitude...
Anyone have a fun theory to share? Our current ones are: teenagers taking it for a joyride, some sort of vortex or portal, displaced by a really big wave...

Or maybe they just added the 8 by mistake.
158°42' becomes 15.842° or 15° 50'
178°42' becomes 17.842° or 17° 50'

I took out the '8' in 178º42' and Google maps showed this instead: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=N+44%C2%B000',+W+17%C2%B 042'&ie=UTF8&ll=44.087585,-17.578125&spn=127.204641,246.796875&z=2
Seems Much more reasonable!
My Chili Red Mini is also one of your shipmates. It looks like we are no longer lost at sea, since Sailwx is now reporting the correct coordinates. Perhaps the Bermuda triangle has expanded due to global warming!
haven't had a laugh from global warming in a long time...
