I called my dealer yesterday and the saleswoman whom I spoke with, because my MA was busy, said my car was going to be loaded on a truck this Saturday with an ETA to Mini of Mountain View of Monday the 30th. BUT she warned me that it may be furthered delayed because their service department is STILL on strike, and the fact that they've hired scabs, might affect the pre-delivery inspection(s) and unfortunately postpone the "actual" delivery date aside from what is actually showing on Owner's Lounge...
I checked OL this morning and it finally shows an estimated delivery date of 6/30/2008.

Spoke with both the MA and the Sales Manager today. No one knows why it's so delayed or when it'll be delivered.
Apparently it could be on a truck now and no one would know. They're hoping it just magically shows up this weekend. SM was at least understanding said it was doubtful, but he'd try to find something out and would try to make me a happier customer upon delivery. Hopefully that won't be in the fall.

I finally picked up my Chili Red Mini on Friday after a painful 1-1/2 week delay due to damage repairs at the VDC. When I picked up my car, I was given a notice indicating that there had been a 0-1" repair on the right quarter-panel. It looks fine now and never would have known about the delay had I not tracked the ship's arrival. My MA included carpet mats, a cargo net, keychain and Mini mints with my car.
Now let the accessory ordering begin... I have ordered the stubby antenna from Craven Speed, the magnetic boot badge holder and a few badges from Cooper Flags and several additional magnetic badges from MotoringBadges.com for my Mini as well as a rubber parking curb from Pep Boys and two Racor bicycle hoists from Costco.com for my garage.
Congratulations to my fellow Bohemians whom have also received their Minis and hoping everyone else hangs in there! Let's keep each other updated on our driving experiences here or in the Week 20 Support Group thread.

Well, i finally found out today that the delay was because they messed up my sport stripes at the VDC. I have now been given my 6th estimated delivery date from the dealer.
After I expressed my extreme displeasure and frustration about the delay and poor communication they asked me what would make me happy (after i raised some he**). I thought about it and asked for a considerable about of $ off. They offered me a nice dinner for 2.
When i told them that after all of this dinner wasn't going to cut it, I was told that if they couldn't make me a happy customer - they would prefer to cancel my order. They really expect 5 star survery results and would rather not sell me the car.
What dealer threatens a customer like that? Talk about bad service!! (and that was a direct order from the GM)
I'm shocked.

Doesn't matter. Went back and looked at your old posts. Your dealer would even return my calls in the initial research stages of my quest.
jeez, jabrams, I'm sorry to hear that :/ it does seem that they push the five star thing, I wonder what hangs on it? I finally received delivery on my mini last sunday (my MA was really good about getting it to me as quickly as possible, it got to the dealer on friday and he also went out of his way to accommodate my crazy schedule) but right before I left I got a few minutes about the survey and how five stars is 100%, but 4 is 75%, and how that's like a C, and ...yaddayaddayadda
btw, was that dinner for two at the french laundry? cause I might consider if it was XD
I really hope things work out for the best for you though, something like that might sour me on the whole thing, so good luck!

I am so sorry to hear of your long wait. I also can't believe your dealer said that to you. Mine down here in L.A. has been really nice to me. But, then again, I also got the chat about the good review. I know my salesman was new and I was his very first customer but everyone there has been helping him and me at the same time. Anyway, while installing the bike rack (not the one I really wanted by the way), they scratched my car and so I have to take it back in for repairs. So, I will be without my car for a day or so while that gets done next week. I hope your Mini gets to you soon so you can begin enjoying it. I really feel bad for you.
So after telling me they might cancel my order, they called the next day and said they did cancel my order and i could expect my deposit back in the mail. The pompus jerk of an MA said it was direct orders from the GM (who of course wasnt around to talk to me directly). I really think they wanted to get the extra $2k above sticker price that they weren't getting from my order. I was so upset and was ready to contact the BBB, consumer affairs, and the local news.
Around 6pm right after the call, I called MINI USA. The rep was great! Ronald (my rep) was like, oh no, that's not right - and called me back my noon the next day. He had spoken to a sales manager at the dealership who was looking into the situation. BIG Thanks NAM for having that number posted.
Luckily, the SM was a super nice guy - apologized and re-instated my order. he also gave me $500 off the car. That was the Thursday before the 4th. It was due in Monday and there was no word.
But today ~ I picked up by mini!!!!

The navigation doesn't work, and they forgot my floor mats - but hey - I have the car. And I'm hopefully, the'll address those.
Funny, they didn't ask me to fill out a survey........

Yay!!!! I am so glad you finally got it! Don't you just love it!??!! I just got my survey this week, so I am sure yours is coming in a couple of weeks. I would blast the MA just because he is a complete jerk!
I am sure that the dealer will take care of the floor mats and the computer, so don't worry about that.
