Thanks for the tip! I was hoping to pickup my Mini this past weekend, but my delivery date is now listed as 6/16. Unfortunately, I am traveling and won't be able to pick it up until Thursday. Congratulations to my fellow Bohemians who are receiving their Minis sooner...

I guess this will give me more time to clean out the garage, install the Gorilla Garage motorized bicycle hoist, and purchase a few accessories (e.g., Mini parking only sign from minimania.com, stubby antenna from cravenspeed.com, etc.).

 

Totally seamless and smooth. Tell him what time you are arriving, and he will have the car detailed and waiting under the "delivery canopy" at the front of the dealership. Total time in the dealership was about 30 minutes, but that includes 10 minutes of waiting for Philippe to get off the phone with another client. e

No surprises, no upsells (except for the finance guy who wants to sell you lojack and all that crap), everything was perfect.

+1 for Southbay Mini!!

 

BTW, now that I have taken delivery of my car I can spill the beans on my sweet deal from South Bay: $1K off MSRP, free mats, and the buy rate on the lease money factor (.00219 as of June 2008).

With these 3 things combined, I got a SMOKIN' monthly payment that just about beats every vehicle on swapalease and leasetrader!

Standard practice for their fleet manager. Regular sales department will NOT do it however.

No word from my MA yet owners lounge shows "at VDC" with delievry date 6/16 which was yesterday

 

I'm meeting with my MA tomorrow at 400p Supposedly, my car is showing up today because the VDC was backed up and some cars for SoCal are now just being delivered. Call them again and get an update.

 

Anyone in Nor Cal have any news on pick ups. I am starting to get anxious now since it has been a week at VDC.

 

The wait up here in Nor Cal is killing me.. no news. Do we need to send some Starbucks over to the VDC?

my OL says 6/20, so I'm hoping to take delivery this weekend. <fingers crossed> I sold my old car so I need some new wheels ASAP! Thought my mini was so close when the boat docked last week ~ darn it. Waiting ~ I suck at it.

 

I spoke with my MA last night and he stated mine was in the VDC now and should be delivered to Tacoma, WA on the 23rd or 24th. I've scheduled for pick-up on Saturday the 28th.

 

nope, haven't heard yet...my MA usually gets in around 2pm, and mine is scheduled for delivery today. I'm planning for Saturday pick up, so I figure that 4 days is enough for cushion, dealer prep, whatnot....!!!!

 

Ok. Just got an email from my MA at Concord. My MCS will arrive tomorrow and I have arranged a pick up for Friday. Yippee!!!

 

That's great news for those of us with a 6/20 delivery date. Hope I'm as lucky as you. Come on East Bay Mini!!

 

urg, no love on delivery today...MA said the trucking company "has the car" so it'll arrive tomorrow-ish, but I still should be able to pick up on Saturday...grrrr...but ok, I guess. This is seriously the worst part about the waiting game!!! So now I'm tweaking on getting driving shoes (that match the interior, of course!) and a vehicle log booklet, etc etc etc...

With all luck, most of should be driving by the weekend!!!

No luck for me either, even though the Owners Lounge indicates a 6/16 delivery date and my dealership is only 45 minutes away from the port. My MA indicated that it should arrive "any day" now, but the wait is painful. Hopefully I will pickup my Mini on Friday.

 

Hey bbmertz, I just got the word today that my MINI will be at the dealer tomorrow (what a coincidence, since I sent the email today), so yours should be coming any minute now too. Anyway, they said I can call for an appointment and pick it up tomorrow, but I will have to make an appointment to have the bicycle rack installed.

Why would the bike rack not be installed if I ordered the car with it? Will that be the same for the ipod interface too? I thought the car would come to me exactly as I ordered it. What's up with that??? Does anyone know the answers????

 

Thanks for the words of encouragement, Echo711. In answer to your question, the iPod interface is installed at the factory, however several options (mostly listed on the last page of the car configurator on the Mini website) such as the bike rack, are dealer installed options.

 

Thanks for the info bb. Maybe I can delay pickup until Saturday and they can have it installed by then. I still have to negotiate payment, so maybe that is another reason they didn't add it yet, lol!

Called Niello this afternoon. My MCS was released to the trucking company today. Possible weekend delivery. Not holding my breath. ol.minusa shows no changes whatsoever.
