On the Owners Lounge site, the estimated date of delivery of my car is Saturday, 2/23/08.
the estimated date is the one where it arrives at the dealer. Then they need a day or so to prep it. Mine arrived on a Saturday evening and I picked it up on a Tuesday

If I get to pick mine up as scheduled on Saturday (I have no reason to think I won't), I will have waited 9 days from the time it arrived in Charleston. I was told the VDC is in Charleston.

I think everyone's experience with the OL must be different. In fact, I think the difference MAY be whether you where transported with K-Line or WW. I was on a K-Line ship and, as of today, OL still says "En Route" for me when, in fact, my car is at the dealership. There is no line of information in my Review Order Detail screen that shows (or has ever shown) anything at all about how my MINI would be transported (due to K-line lack of tracking, I'm sure) and there has never been any mention of dates at all.

If it weren't for the excellent information available on NAM, I would not have known anything at all about my MINI once it left the factory. Because I read all the forums and I love to do research, I was able to know what ship I was on before my MA did just by sheer process of elimination.

I'm just glad it's almost over and I can drive the car rather than track it! Just call me MINI Lo-Jac!

Prep it?

What is the dealer doing to prep the car, assuming you have no dealer installed options?

I'm in the exact same situation... little or no info because of K-Line. My OL still says en route but my MA told me that it's at the VDC. Unfortunately, according to my MA, my car isn't scheduled to get to the dealership until next Wednesday.

Well, the 21st was just an estimated date. That doesn't seem like it's necessarily a hard date? I'd also be interested in how long it takes to prep the car. How long from when it's unloaded until you can actually take it home?

Once it entered "prepping" it took a few hours from what I can tell. So realistically 2 days after it gets to the dealer it will be ready. At least in my case

Talked to MA just now. Our car along with 5 other minis destinated for Mini of South Atlanta have finally been released to the carrier from the VDC. Seems their system at the dealership hasn't been updating either. Should get there tomorrow, prep the cars, slap on my roof graphic, and pick up on Saturday morning. We'll see what the status is tomorrow though. Let's keep those fingers crossed! We've been waiting 2 months for this!

Anybody know how accurate the estimated delivery date in the OL is? Just checked and my MINI is now in "at distribution center" status. It was still in "en route" status as of this afternoon. ASK-MINI still says I'm at the port. Does the OL lag at all at this point?

When my MINI was loaded on a boat, my MA estimated that I would be able to pick up this weekend, but as of yesterday, it still hadn't been put on a truck. Emailed him again late today, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. Could there still be a chance that I'll be able to pick my MINI up this weekend?

DELIVERY POSTPONED

Just got an email from my MA informing me that "Unfortunately we are going to have push back the delivery of your vehicle until the middle of next week."

No explanation yet. I sent a reply asking for a call ASAP.

Oh no!!! they shouldn't be able to make statements without giving you a reason.... Don't they know how frustrating that is!

Everyone back up, she's gonna blow!!

Knock on wood, I'm still on schedule for the Saturday delivery. I can drive up to Charlotte to let appease those mini hunger pains.

Not me. The OL says I was suppose to have my Clubman two days ago.

Looks like everybody is getting pushed back because all the MA's are in Vegas. I decided not to push the issue and will wait until Tuesday for delivery. The weather here is horrible with freezing rain, sleet, snow, and rain. No sense bringing Zug out in this kind of weather.

I just got off the phone with my MA, who says that several cars that were expected at the dealership today have been held up in Greenville for reasons she does not yet know. She is going to call me back later today with more information. I'm just relieved to know that my car is not actually at the dealership and being held hostage for some reason. No one to be upset with, so really not a big deal, yes? I'm just trying to get over the fact that tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and mid-60s and I cleared the entire weekend to enjoy getting to know the car. Kinda takes some of the fun away to take delivery on a rainy weekday in the middle of a hectic week...

I will say that my MA seemed very sympathetic, even to the point of personally delivering the car to me later this week. I would not ask her to do such a thing, but I really appreciated the offer. Good Customer Service.

If this is the worst thing to happen to me today, it's still a good day. At least I still have something fun to look forward to!

The usefulness of ASK-MINI ended, for me, on the day my car left the plant in Oxford. From that point on, they have been as blind as I am, or so they say. They've told me that only my dealer will be able to give me further information regarding Ramona's whereabouts.

It says, "Your vehicle is in transit. Please contact your dealer for further tracking information." That's it! If I ask for a live person, they tell me the same thing -- that once it's left the plant, they have no way to give me further information. Is it not that way for everyone?

Not picking up car tomorrow- ironic twist

How's this? Busta J's car arrives in the 1 of 2 trucks they brought cars to atlanta today and guess whose didn't show up and still is waiting at the VDC for transport to dealer???

So, not picking them up tomorrow. Next Saturday maybe mine will be there????

I'm so frustrated. I guess I'm more frustrated that I can't go anywhere, I haven't driven out of Birmingham in 2mos bc I can't put those miles on my trade-in and I'm going crazy being stuck here with no roadtrips.

So sorry, oryx! Believe me, I know how you feel! BTW, were you on the Emden? How about others of you who have not yet gotten your delivery scheduled?

Also, I have an update on mine: I will pick it up Tuesday! Unfortunately, that means that I will pick it up while my son is in school and he will not be able to be there, much to his disappointment. To soften the blow, his dad and I decided to order him one of his own for a combination birthday/graduation gift. Yes, seriously! We're going in the morning to place the order.
