So what are the rest of you doing to wile away the time until delivery. The excessive drinking and whining to my friends doesn't seem to be working out well.

I did take a trip up to Biltmore this weekend, only succeeded in making me wish I had my mini more though. Nice twisty mountain roads on the way up and back and the roads on the grounds there would be a blast to let loose on.

Most of us week 4'ers should be well on our way to US soil. Only a few more days for me 'til mine hits Charleston. According to my MA, mine should be getting to Charleston on the 14th and then to the dealer in Miami by the 21st. Hopefully I can pick her up on the 22nd.

 

Well, if the Emden is going to make it to port by the 13th it had better pick up the pace. It would'nt appear that it will make it on time according to the map.

 

Looks like it hasn't updated in quite a while (since the 9th). It's most likely further along by now than the map shows.

 

Guess what makes my waiting tolerable is that fiance Busta J is waiting for his too so we can excessively track (or stalk is maybe a better term? ) them together.

I'll be glad to get the car just for the fact I will be able to drive freely again. Right now, I have to keep the mileage low on my car for the trade-in, therefore it's only being used for my 10 mi commute to work, and we're slopping around in a '94 acura legend for everything else.

Anyone been able to track the EMDEN on http://aisfree.aislive.com/? I have been unsuccessful in being able to view anything besides Europe.

 

I tried last night, and like you, I was only able to see Europe. However, I've seen recent screen captures from that site that others have posted here on NAM, so they must know about something that we don't.

 

Hmmn, after landing in NY on Thursday (confirmed by a phone call to ASK-MINI and the WW site), I called ASK-MINI today to find that the automated message now says "at the port awaiting shipment"...

erm... I hope not!

 

Well technically it is at the port and it is awaiting shipment, to the dealer.

I'd like to say "I wouldn't worry about it" but I know I would worry.

Looks like the Liberty has taken some time out to do a little fishin' or something. 85 nautical miles in the last 12 hours!! Maybe things will get better now that they have turned south and are heading downhill.

Looking at the reported wave heights, it looks like they hit some rough seas. Hope they still make it to NY Thursday.

 

Mine was delayed a day before it hit New York due to bad weather - to be expected at this time of year I guess

 

My Mini has a delivery date! 17th is a Sunday and my mini of Sterling is closed that day... Hope it comes on Friday instead!

 

Well it looks like the Liberty finally got all its oars in the water. It has picked

up speed. The bad news is that it probably won't hit New York until the 15th.

 

Yeah, looks that way, but they haven't updated the schedule. Maybe they're hoping they'll make it late tomorrow if they really put the pedal to the metal.

I'm on the Emden too...I 've lost contact with it.

 

I was never able to track my car after it left port anyway. At this point, I'm not that worried about it (lie). It's kindof like this new girl I started seeing..."I would have sex with you, but I want to build towards something." Gee, thanks.
