I was originally suppose to be in week 3, but they pushed me out a week to week # 4.

Uh, oh! Who pushed the production date back, your dealer or MINI? I was quoted Week 4 by the dealer and a live person at ASK-MINI, although OL still says "On Order." I hope they're not running behind!

 

I will say I placed my order on Saturday, the order got 'built' by my sales person and sent over on Tuesday, Production started Today (Thursday) according to the 866-ask-mini and then confirmed by a guy I spoke to on the line...

That seems quick to me!

 

Ahhh, its even showing up on the website as scheduled for production! This is awesome!

Yaayy! You've got PROGRESS! I love it for you. (Where's the emoticon with a green face??!!) I called a minute ago and the automated system tried to route me directly to a live person for the first time. Of course, they don't open until 9am EST, which is another two hours. I will call back then and see if maybe we're having MINI-Sibs after all!

 

I don't know why it got pushed back....they will never tell you the real reason anyways. ASK-MINI says week 4...I'm OK with that. I want to take delivery in the early Spring. It's just too nasty of weather here in Chicago for any car.

The OL just went to production today!!!

VIN number and all..

I figure the beginning of March...


It will have to sit in the showroom, because I am out o town the first two weeks of March...

OL still says On Order for me, but automated ASK-MINI report today says "scheduled for production and expected to be complete on 1-25 (Friday)." I'm hoping OL gets updated today, too, so I can get my VIN #.

Looks like we're all making progress!

 

ASK-MINI told me this morning they estimated my MINI would be completed on 1-25 (next Friday). Then my MA contacted me and said it would be STARTED on 1-25, so I replied to her with what I had heard and she double-checked. Turns out my car went into production yesterday morning at 5:52am! MA now estimates that it will be in at the end of February!

Now I'm waiting on OL to update so I can get a VIN #!

 

I'm scheduled for week 6 (2nd week of Feb). You folks mind if I tag along with you?

Dealer said that MINI was moving things forward because allocations weren't selling quickly this time of year. Does nothing to explain why the delay noted above.

Dealer also said 5 days to manufacture. 21 days from Oxford to Nashville, TN.

 

Please jump right in with us! You might also want to follow the PW 5/6 thread so you can "meet" MINI-siblings... And, BTW, know what runs faster than a Deere??? A MINI!!!

ASK Mini said today that my R55 would be completed on 1/24....

I hope I can get a quick boat....

My MA says Mid to late March...

I was told by ASK, "Production complete on 1-25." Had MA check and Beezus went into production 1-18 at 5:52am! Will be done far sooner than 1-25, I think. MA also changed expected delivery date from early March to late in Feb. Maybe we've got MINI-sibs after all?!!

 

Checked the phone number today and it says to be completed 1/25. I await with you!

 

I placed my order on Saturday, Jan 19th. On Monday ASK MINI said that it was "On Order", today I called and it said that it is in Production and should be finished on January 26th!! When I talked to a human, they said that it went into production on Sunday, Jan 20th. Now that's fast!!

The wait continues!

 

Mine has already entered the Body Shop! Due to be done today apparently

 

Looks like I'll be joining you after all MiniRee. I called AskMini today and they said my mini went into production on the 19th and that it will be finished on the 25th, YAY!

Now if only the OL would update.

 

Although my fiance's and my 2 MCSs finished on 1/18, we missed the boat on 1/19 and the next one scheduled to go to Charleston isn't leaving until 2/2. So ours will most likely be riding with some of your coopers on the voyage over.

Just kinda frustrated bc they went into production a week earlier than originally thought, only to be sitting at port for the next couple weeks...

Just called ask mini again as I was bored at work... Body and paint work complete - car production complete!

Now I have to wait for a boat I guess!

 

I have a VIN #!!! Although I gave my deposit and sent my config into my dealer on 1/11/08 I did not get a Production number until a week later...but my dealer gave me the wrong Pro #. After getting the correct Pro Number yesterday, I found out through 1-866-ASK-MINI that my car began production on the 19th and is expected to be done on 1/26/08, WEEK 4. At first I couldn't figure out how to check my configuration on line (and posted the stupid question). Right afterwards I figured it out; Your Mini>Order Tracking>Review Order Detail.
Hopefully all of our cars will make the ship by 2/2/08. I hope that I will get to take delivery in Oklahoma before the end of February.

Ordered on 1/11/08 - 2008 MCS PW/B, Tuscan, Athracite, LSD, Xenon, Nav and more totally unnecessary but needed fun stuff!

 

I hope there is a boat leaving for New York next week!
