I've only seen about four MCs around here. One is a 2004 on a car lot (silver), one lives 2 doors down from me (CR/CR) and there are two more on the road around here (both CR). Love the CR, but glad I got LiB/B! See you got DS. That was on the short list, too...

I see more and more since I ordered mine. I started out looking at CR then switched to DS. When I went into Hendrick's on Saturday they had a LB convertible S that had me second guessing, but I went with DS.

I've looked at M2C2 but haven't joined yet. They seem to have get togethers, so it would be cool meet other MINI owners.

 

According to the recorded voices on the phone.. my clubman is complete and awaiting transport!!!!!

My MINI is awaiting transport!!! Now comes the long part... Crossing the ocean.

 

Just called and the automated voice says my MINI is in the body shop and on track for completion on Saturday the 26th. So if that stays true, I went from placing my order last Saturday to having the car complete production in a week. Amazing!

 

That really is amazing! (Some of the folks on this board would say that to you with clenched teeth and a tight smile! ) It looks like you and I may
end up meeting at the dealership unless you're having anything done at Hendrick. I have one piece of chrome (bonnet scoop) being installed, so I hope that won't cause too much delay.

BTW, is that Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada in your name? Just curious... Congratulations on the MINI!

I'm not having anything else installed on mine. Any personalization done, I'll be doing. Want to get a windscreen that another NAM user produces, and add the DICE Silverline iPod kit to start.

And yes, my user name stands for Halifax, NS, Canada. That's where I grew up. It's also my NC license plate. So if you see a DS convertible with that plate, you'll know it's me!

 

Hmmn, mine arrived at the port on Wednesday but has not shown up on Wallenius Wihlmsen site yet... Hope it's soon...

 

I'm in the paint shop and it's supposed to be finishing up today.

 

OMG!! I just talked to ASK-MINI and he says my MINI is ON A SHIP!!! So far, nothing shows up on the WW tracking site, but I'll keep looking... WOOT!

I called earlier and I was in the body shop and finishing tomorrow. I guess a day makes a difference. Once you find out what ship you're on, you'll have to let us know.

I don't see any ships on W&W that stop in Charleston, SC that leave before Feb 2nd. Maybe they're using a different shipping company??

 

K-line is supposed to be the other shipping company I believe

 

When I looked on K-Line, I didn't see a port listing for Southampton, UK.

Ordered 1/12, finished on 1/22, on Manon ship 1/23 to NY and Baltimore on 2/1 and 2/3. Anyone know if all cars are unloaded in NY? Baltimore is close to me.

 

So jelous that I missed the ship!! I think the next one ships on Sunday...

Looks like we are on the Manon together. I am also in the Baltimore area. My guy in Towson stated (I believe) that cars are offloaded to a location in the New York area -- I thought he said the vehicle distribution center was in northern New Jersey, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know where the VDC is on the east coast? Is there only one?

Well, nothing. ASK-MINI said I was "on the boat" but couldn't tell me which one. OL is, of course, hopelessly out-of-date (it still says Scheduled for Production and my car is completed...) WW yields nothing with my VIN. I wonder if I'm actually on the boat or if I am just still waiting...

 

Mine is now "in transit". How did you guys get your VIN number?

 

The Owners lounge has a review order page where it is listed with your production number (its on the order tracking page, last option to click on)

Also look at "your Mini" section of the site and click in service log - it will be listed there.

Again very jealous! Wish mine would show up in the system. And man, am I getting impatient!

Mine has actually reverted to the paint shop! It went from body shop to paint shop to in transit to paint shop again! Sheesh!
