Baton Rouge, LA. Wait should be a lot shorter for those of us not on the west coast. I hear it's an extra couple of weeks for them!

I ordered mine a few days before Christmas and my car was completed on 1/20/08 and is now awaiting transport...I live on the West Coast...I wonder when it's coming...I've waited a whole month already!

I was orignally told I would be in week 6/7 but got bumped up to week 4. Who knows how things get moved around. I'm just happy to be getting the car sooner.

Good luck on the wait. I hear the west coasters have a terriably one.

To track with your VIN, go here: http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do and select Auto Cargo and type in your vin.

To see what possible voyage/ship it may be on, go to: http://www.2wglobal.com/www/customer...LaunchPage.htm
You can search by ports and select UK/Southampton as origin and USA/Port Hueneme as destination. Seems like the next 2 departing are on 1/30 and 2/4 for California.

We've been waiting at the port since 1/18 since the next ship to our port of Charleston isn't until 2/2.

Waiting sucks. I'm ready for the Minis... and tired of limiting my driving on my trade-in.

Hi Everyone,
My 08 MCS is a week 4 too. It was completed on 1/22 and is already on the "Manon" out of Southampton heading for the east coast of the US.

It has the following:
08 PW/B MCS, Black Stripes, Lounge Leather Carbon Black, Cream White Color line, Piano Black, Chrome Interior, Anthracite headliner, HD Radio
Cold Weather, Premium, and Convenience Packages
DSC, Xenon Headlamps, Limited Slip Diff, Anti-Theft System, White turn signals, Rear Fogs

I'll be returning to the US next month in time to pick it up.

Lucky you! Looks like I didn't make the ship today (or my vin hasn't shown up yet in the system)

Looks like I am waiting for a week

Congrats kgillies, looks like your mini has already proven itself to be an over-achiever.

Don't worry tonyeck, your mini will be waiting in good company.

If you look at the W&W shipping site, there are two ships that are stopping in Southampton, UK and then stopping in NY NY, Baltimore MD, Charleston SC, and Brunswick GA.

The Liberty is leaving on 02/02 and stopping on 02/11 in NYC, 02/13 in Baltimore, 02/16 in Charleston, and then 02/17 in Brunswick. The Courage starts 3 days later, but arrives at the same US ports 2 days later than the Liberty.

So I think we have a good chance of seeing our cars arrive in Mid February and hopefully they'll be at the dealers 7 - 10 days after that!

You're correct, ones heading for NY and Baltimore area could be on the Otello! You'll have to let us know if you see your VIN listed on the Otello on Tuesday!

I was looking for ships that hit most eastcoast ports including Charleston. I'm assuming that MINIs destined for the Carolinas would unload there. Once we're able to track the ships, the waiting is only going to be more agonizing.

Hmm.. if I'm in production right now, scheduled to be finished on Jan 28, does that make me week 4 or week 5?

That would make you week 5. Hang in here with us, though, so you can see our progress, too!

I'm in Rock Hill, HFX.NS.CA. Maybe we'll have MINI-siblings!

Could very well be! I ordered mine at Hendrick. I'll be calling ASK MINI a lot to see when my car will be ready for transport, and then trying to follow the ship as it makes it's way across the Atlantic and down the east coast. I notice every MINI as I drive around town and can't wait until I'm in mine and waving to everyone!
