Nope. Kit costs just under $1600, then it has to be painted (+ money for paint + labor) then attached (+ money for labor).

What is your quote for it fitted with Aero kit at VDC painted and installed?

 

Finally! I get to pick up my car tomorrow afternoon. I would like to have picked it up today after work but that did not fit into the sales person's schedule. (No actually I would have perferred to have picked it up last Saturday but I need to let that go!) Anyway its only a 100 mile trip one-way and as it turns out, I'll get to meet some of the OKC Mini club members at one of their monthly get togethers at a pizza place tomorrow evening.

 

OL was correct. Said my delivery date was 2/25/2008 and I got the call from my MA an hour ago and I'll be picking my car up in about 30 minutes!! YEEESSS!!!

I was at the dealership all day today and I STILL missed you! I will be there tomorrow to return the loaner car and get Ramona back. She had a small issue with the Automatic Climate Control display. As long as I was there, I had boot stripes added... I want her back NOW! It's way too soon to hand her over for any length of time...

I actually ended up getting it last night! I couldn't wait so I barged in there and demanded my car! Haha. I didn't bring a camera as I am putting so many nick-knacks on it I didn't want to post "stock" pictures. I'll try and get some pictures up on Friday. Everyone needs to remember you have to post pictures on this thread when you get your car!

p.s.- So far it is everything I hoped for and more!

I was at Hendrick's from 6:00 until a little after 7:00. Only took a couple pics when I got it home and in the garage. I'll get some pics up tonight!

So much fun! Hard to be at work all day knowing it's just sitting in the parking lot. It was 50F this morning and cloudy, but I still had the top down on the way to work.

 

So far I've put on the black grill surrounds, black 17" Ultraleggera's (215/45/17 w/ GY DS-G3 summer tires), 2" antenna, carbon fiber hood scoop and side mirrors (haven't put on rear latch yet). I still need to put on the CF rear latch and two hella 500 driving lights. Then when it's broken in I'm putting on a bunch of Alta performance mods.

Finally! Pick the Clubman up tomorrow morning. I've taken the rest of the week off to go motoring and get as many miles in as I can before the grandchildren arrive for a long weekend. Their mother and father are heading out to Vegas for NASCAR not AMVIV. Will post pics this weekend when I have to come back in the house.

I knew I forgot to do something! It's a bit distracting sitting at my desk all day just thinking that I could be out driving around. Work Sux!

 

I'll get some pictures posted tonight, I took pictures last night but left my camera at home.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Aux input was in my glovebox. Didn't know this was a standard option for the 2008 cabrio.

The only thing I need to call my MA about is that in my excitement to drive the car on Monday night, was that I didn't have the stripes on the bonnet. And I'm missing the "plug" that covers the front tow hook location.

Other than that, the car is better than I ever imagined. I never drove an S, only regular engine, I'm so happy with the S!!!

 

Does anyone know if the AIDA is still on time for today??? I can't wait anymore!!!

 

Mine is still at VDC in Charleston. MA got Manager to call VDC and the head honcho there said, it would be at dealer by Thursday. According to MA, it wasn't damaged or anything during transit, so I don't know what the hold up is. This is extremely frustrating for me. Especially since my car is holding up us picking up my fiance's. Maybe it will be there on Thursday and we will drive over and pick them up in the evening.

 

My rear tow hook plug was missing and the service dept said they had sent some out to be painted and they didn't get back in time. I am picking mine up Friday.

I LOVE MY MINI!! The more I drive Ramona, the crazier I get about her! I will post pictures this evening. I took some, but the camera went home with someone who does not know how to get the pics out! I'll take more now that the sun is shining... Ya'll have to see Ramona's new boot stripes! They make her butt look so good!

 

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I just got an email from my MA saying that my car was pulled off the carrier and placed on hold. He called the carrier company and they referred him back to the BMW distribution center. He's waiting to hear back from them. Hopefully my car wasn't damaged while loading it onto the carrier. Maybe customs caught my MINI trying to bring some fruit or Cuban cigars into the country!

 

I just got another email from my MA and the driver of the carrier noticed a scratch on the driver's side front fender!!! My car is going back to the distribution center to have it fixed. So, I won't be able to pick my car up on Friday, but it's supposed to be back on a carrier by Friday - hopefully scratch free. Waiting to hear from my MA about a possible Saturday pickup. As if the wait wasn't brutal enough, now this...
